Calling it a low profile...

Do NOT buy this this sound card for your computer if you need a low profile sound card.....Amazon will not send you the right one. I just received the one I ordered and they sent one that would fit in a reg size computer. This one dose not fit the computers that are called for low profile. IF you have a low profile like ( Inspiron 530s model )or any slim body computer, do not trust Amazon to send you the right sound card.
They do not know what low profile means!!!
I will never use Amazone again....and I would advise you do the same!!!
Great audio for low-cost, low-profile computers

Bought a refurbished HP Slimline for just over $300 to connect to home audio system. Copied over 500 CD's onto hard drive as 320kbps .mpg's. Great concept, but noticeable audio distortion from the Slimline's integrated audio, even after adding 2MB of RAM. The Low Profile SoundBlaster card made a great low-cost solution. Sound now quite respectable, perhaps not good enough for a true audiophile but just fine for my old ears.
Excellent sound card for Mid-range users

I used to play games, listen to music thru my on-board RealTek audio. After installing this card, I was blown away with the crispness and quality of audio reproduction.
It has 7 channel output and powerful 1st generation Audigy chip on board. This may not impress audio professionals, but it delivers rich and excellent audio for average users. No hassle in driver installation. Makes the purchase worth the money spent.
