EXCELLENT!!! 2007-04-07
A very good product. I ordered three of them and they all live up to their expectations. Im happy with them and happy with amazons service as well.

CHEAP 2007-03-21
Poor sound quality, few features, not too easy to program. Don't waste your money.

Attractive Price 2007-03-15
I bought this for 19.99 at Staples yesterday. Did not buy the base station to see whether it will register with VOIP321 set that i already had..paid $120+ for just one handset. I was very happy to see that this registered with the VOIP321 dect base station as well...and for 19.99 it was a steal. Granted the screen is small and hard to read but hey you get what you pay for...other dect handsets are in the $99 range!

by the way..sound quality, battery life, design(no jutting antanae), size is just awesone!

Wireless phone sounds like it has wires 2007-01-09
I've been using this Phillips system for a month now and have been really pleased with it. We never suffer from any interference and the sound quality is terrific - no tin can echo like most wireless phones have. Plus, not having to plug the expansion handset near a phone outlet is super convenient.

I confess that I originally bought this system because it was elegant looking - simple, clean lines and subtle colors. But I ended up appreciating it's functionality just as much. A great balance of both form and function.

Sound quality & range are good, handset painful to use... 2006-12-08
Pretty much all my complaints have to do with the handset, not the overall system.

The keys are slick and easy to make an incorrect keypad entry. The green and red keys for answering and hanging up the phone are difficult to hit correctly, so frequently you find that the phone keeps ringing after you thought you had already hit the button to accept the call.

The handset is small, and difficult to cradle to your ear if your hand gets tired. It's also got hard and relatively sharp corners, so it's uncomfortable. The menu system is hard to use, and I haven't bothered to try to learn how to program in numbers, how to see previous numbers that called, how to call back the last number dialed, etc....

The display is not dot-matrix, and hard to read. It's also really short on characters, which makes it hard to see long numbers and virtually impossible to read caller-id name information.

On the plus side, the sound quality is good, and the range of the handset is also very good -- much better than any other cordless phone I've seen here in the US.

good looks and good sound quality; lacks basic functions and non-intuitive User Interface 2008-01-24
PROS: Looks good, voice quality is great, no interference, Answering Machine quality (for the base set) is good.

CONS:
a) text is not dot-matrix and is huge. Even a full 10/11 digits number does not show up on the screen. Very inconvenient if you are looking for CID info
b) poor view angle. Unless you are looking at it straight, you can't see anything on the screen.
c) Phone book Character limit is 'limited'. It allows only what fits on single line on the screen. And I think it is only 11 characters as in point sequence a) above.
d) can't assign multiple phone numbers to an entry
e) can't share phone book between handsets. Although I knew that before I bought it, I didn't know this feature becomes handy when using multiple handset in the household.
f) I may not have figured out, but it does not seem it have Date and Time Stamp. It's major as there seem to be no way to know when a message was recorded or see timestamp on CID info...
g) (for unit with base/ answering system) can't seem to check voice mail from handset. Have to be at the base...

For a regular phone (voice, basic Voice Mail) I would say it's good. Beyond that, it's waste.

Best kept secret in the industry! 2007-10-06
I've tried many cordless phones in the last 25 years, but absolutely none compare with the Philips DECT 6.0 line of cordless phones.
To begin with, the line clarity is unsurpassed, which has always been my major bone of contention with other cordless phones. The ergonomic design of the handset is a big plus also. It's easy to hold. To me, both the handsets and the answering machine base unit are works of art. The handset can be set upright on any flat surface if so desired. The keypad is easy to use and the menu options are diverse.
To test the range, I walked outside at least 100 feet away from the house and went behind a detached garage. To my amazement, the unit worked just as if I were standing right on top of the base unit.
The battery life is excellent.
The answering machine is amazingly simple to use but very effective. Other than the ease of use and compact design, one of the other things that caught my attention immediately is that I didn't have to listen to my outgoing message before hearing my incoming ones. Also, the default answering voice is different than any I had heard before. Definitely not mechanical in nature. I was very pleased with it, I believe the accent is British.
I bought several expansion handsets

Easy and clear! 2007-09-13
Just added another handset to my two existing and it was easy! Love this phone since the operation is clear and the buttons are simple to learn.

Philips DECT2250G/37 Cordless Phone 2007-07-22
The item works very well. The sound is clear and without any discernible noise.

Good but not great 2007-05-06
They work fine, but when the volume is turned up to the maximum then the people who we are talking to get an echo through the phone. We normally used the maximum volume because otherwise it seems hard to hear if there is any background noise. Since they are cordless we have tended to move to a quieter room when necessary.
