I love this bag.

I got this bag in Oct. 2007. I love it! It has plenty of room for all of my stuff. However, the left strap ripped off at the clip. I believe the workmanship on this piece is poor. For the most part, I use the right strap daily to carry my bag into my job. As I grabbed the left strap to set the bag down it ripped. I'm in the process of checking on the warranty. 5/21/08- I contacted Slappa, directly. They had redesigned the bag last year due to the strap defect. The model I purchased through Amazon.com was shipped from Ambient Weather. Beware of the model with cover over the clip.

i fell for the funky cool look the bag had and it does have the "cool" look... the bag could be a attention grabber as it does standout from the usual formal designs....
but once you lay your hands inside the bag, you realize that the bag is not as Macho as it looks on the outside or on "internet"... the inside of the bag is soft, velvet which may feel confortable for the laptop but i am worried how long will it stay...
pro
- looks good
- space is ok, i am able to stuff my lunch box along with the laptop
- it comes with a mobile pouch and holds my tilt :)
- it also comes along with 4 locks, numbered locks.
cons
- the inner materials are quite soft not as macho as it looks on the outside
- the back shoulder rest is less, and does not ease the shoulder when carrying a 6lb laptop !!
HTH...
cheers,

Positives:
- Shell material is tough and water resistant
- Construction is solid overall
- Soft and padded interior great for laptops and gadgets
- Straps are thick, comfortable, and ride at a good height
- External zippers are fitted for luggage locks, which Slappa adds for free
- Large capacity in segmented pockets
- The thermal lined cooled pocket actually works!
Negatives:
- The external pocket works great for umbrellas but nothing for water bottles
- Soft internal material snags the Velcro on the internal laptop pocket
- Needs a better loop to clip the free gadget holster the bag came with
I like this backpack

I looked at alot of backpacks before I chose this one. I asked friends, went to stores and spent several hours online inquiring about many different kinds of packs before choosing this one. I like this backpack very well. It holds my 17 inch Toshiba Satellite laptop computer perfectly. It stands on its' own fairly well. It is very comfortable. The pockets are all padded and readily open with ease. The shoulder staps fit very well and do not bind, pinch or have any "unpadded" points (very comfortable). I highly recommend this pack.
Still waiting for it to ship.

I am not sure why a medical company (ALLEGRO?) would be shipping this product. It took the company six weeks to deliver the product. They never responded to my status requests.
They also will not ship to an APO address. I am deployed in Iraq. I had the bag shipped to my mother's address. It cost her $29 to mail it to me in Iraq.
I hope to get the bag next week.
UPDATE: I just got the bag after nearly 7 weeks of waiting. I ended up paying about $50 dollars in shipping costs to get this bag sent from my house to Iraq.
The bag is pretty awesome. I like it a lot. Lots of room for storage and it functions like a laptop travel bag but looks like a backpack. It has a lot of decent design and thought put into the product.
So if you order one. I would advise that you look for another company than Allegro to ship it.
