College computer 2008-05-22
I purchased this computer for my daughter leaving for college. I've never been a supporter of Apple products, but... this is an incredible machine. It is now much more apparent the short falls of the Microsoft Operating System. I'm not ready yet to make the jump to a Mac, but the commercials on TV sure tell the whole story. Thanks MAC for staying in there through the hard times.

PS: We are still using Microsoft Office for Mac, it's a great tool.

Great Laptop for the College Student! 2008-05-09
I've had my MacBook for a year and a half now, and its been everything and more. It still runs very nicely for what I am doing, surfing the net, e-mail, word processing, pics, etc. I even made a short video project and found iMovie '06 to be a wonderful piece of software. Even though some may argue that you can get a laptop with the same specs for $200 cheaper, what you are giving up is the best OS around, which is what really makes Apple computers a level above the competitors. Also, as a college student to whom wireless connectivity is a big deal, the Mac couldn't make it easier. I am connected as soon as I power up, while my friends with their Windows PCs are fumbling trying to find the network. In other words, the Macbook is a great buy for the price, and college students even get a discount on the Apple website! So now, go out and get one! You will not be disappointed.

Great for on location photography 2008-05-05
The smaller 13 inch MacBook is perfect for on location photography.
My camera and 5 lens fit into a Tenba PG-17C Gemini ProDigital 2.0 Shoulder Bag/Laptop Bag (bought from Amazon.com). I run my Canon camera right from the MacBook and can veiw/adjust the exposer and lighting instantly. Veiwing the shot full screen eliminates the need bracketing exposers, saving memory and post shooting production time. Works great.

Warehouse Deals is great! 2008-05-02
purchased my macbook from warehouse deals and it is in near mint condition. The box is a little banged up but the laptop is almost flawless... a couple very very very light blemishes on the surface and a smudge on the keyboard... other than that everything looks great!!!

Great computer for the price! 2008-04-28
As a closeout, this computer was well worth the money. Has worked flawlessly for the last 3 weeks.

nice package, but very unreliable 2008-07-01
I thought I'd try the alternative to Windows machines, and it's been a big disappointment. While the MacBook is sleek and sexy, it's also extremely unreliable; the operating system crashes at least every day. Apple pumps out OS updates on a regular basis, but nothing has improved this crash-prone white elephant. It crashes much more frequently than my recent Windows machines, which says a lot, since Windows is none too trustworthy.

That said, I like the physical layout, the size & weight, and the Mac applications. If only they worked all the time--or even more of the time, I'd say they have a superior product. But, unhappily, it just ain't so.

more than happy! 2008-06-07
Although I bought this Mac as "refurbished", I can't find any problem with it. Delivered on time and the notebook is in excelent conditions!! Would recommend it to any one.

I loved it the first 6 months... and then... 2008-06-05
I bought my macbook in Europe, where the price was more than one bought in the states, about $400 more. I had been a Windows user and got tired of all of Windows' Windowsness. I got my beautiful MacBook in pearly white and had a great time with the programs. No crashes! Then three months passed, of which the macbook did nothing but sit on my desk, and part of the casing chipped off. I took it in to be fixed. One month later, ANOTHER part of the casing chipped off. I had that fixed. The casing REGULARLY chips off. It now looks like an old hand me down laptop that has been banged up by trolls and it has not left my office.

Six months after purchase, it overheats. I mean overheats in one hour of use. I can no longer use it as a laptop without worrying about setting something on fire.

One year later (right now) it is propped up on blocks (coolers) with the ENTIRE casing that goes under the wrist chipped away, another piece of casing in the upper right corner chipped away and I am frantically backing up everything so that when my whole laptop dies in the next 20 minutes as I expect it to, I won't lose everything.

Basically, I believe Apple makes great ideas, put inside cheap pieces of crap.

I HATE going back to Windows, but it seems I must.

WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, and all around PERFECT!!!!! 2008-06-01
This is my first mac product, and I LOVE it!!!! It is even better than I expected!!! It is so fast, powerful, sleek, thin, light, beautiful and MUCH more!! I can run Windows and Mac on here at once, and it still runs really fast. Because of Mac's great design and features I found out that most people don't even need to run Windows on their macs. it makes everything from Graphic design to just regular, check your email use. I absolutely ADORE my mac!! HIGHLY recommended for every one!!!

No more PCs 2008-06-01
I got my laptop 3 weeks ago, I no longer need to use any other computer. the computer itself is almost perfect. the screen size is great and the brightness is extremely good. I love the iSight it's great for video chatting. the keyboard is unusual but you'll get used to it by the time. the weight makes it portable and the battery can last to up to 6 hours (without wifi and bluetooth and dimmed screen) I can take it everywhere without worrying about the extra weight or battery life
I'm not even talking about Leopard (you have already heard enough about it )
warning men, you'll be tucking it next to you on bed instead of your wife ;)
