Great potty seat, if you have the right toilet....

My daughter just turned 2 and began showing interest in potty training. I purchased this item from amazon and really like it. She loves the princess products and the seat is very soft and not as ridged as some of the other character potty seats. This potty seat fits our toilet perfectly. We have a toilet with an elongated bowl. I read the other reviews and figure that may be the problem. This seat possibly doesn't fit standard bowls that well, I'm not sure?! With our bowl being narrower, the seat reaches the sides without a problem. I gave this item only 4 stars since I would recommend it to persons with the elongated toilet bowl.

If it has to be Disney Princesses...

If the toilet seat you are looking for has to be Disney Princesses, then this is your seat. Over all, it functions just fine and my daughter loves the princesses. However, I much prefer the "Munchkin" brand seat to this one since the Munchkin brand is much sturdier and the all one piece design makes it easier to clean. The negatives for the princess seat are:

The cushion separates from the hard plastic frame, I assume, for cleaning, but it often falls out when my toddler puts the seat on the potty. For a girl who wants to do it all herself, that is frustrating.

The cushion isn't very cushy. After a few minutes of sitting, it ends up smashed flat. It does eventually regain its former fluffier appearance between uses.

The hard plastic frame is flimsier than the Munchkin brand seat that looks similar (and is priced less) which means this seat isn't as stable.

Slips too easily

This seat is cute but it slips too easily. The opening is too small for a 3 year old and the anti-skid pads did not touch the toilet seat even after trying to adjust the locations. Pick another one.

This potty seat fits in our potty perfectly. Daughter loves it and uses it everyday.

Disney Princess Potty Trainer Seat

This is a pretty good seat. My daughter was excited to use it. It is very convenient to travel with. It fits well in a canvas tote and is lightweight. (It's really nice to use in public restrooms where the seats are big and dirty.) It's no joy trying to get my child on the safety tissue covers that slide all around, so this works for me. My only complaint is that it doesn't provide a snug-fit to our toilet and if my daughter jumps/slides off the toilet by herself, the seat is coming with her causing her to stumble a bit. Having said that, we are usually with her, but I know a day will come when she'll do this on her own and we may have a problem then.

Perfect for Princesses

I absolutely love this. My daughter is 33 months old and loves princesses. She was terrified t use the big potty or even sit on it until we got this seat. She loves that it fits on the "big" potty and allows her to be a big girl. The seat doesn't slide around at all on our toilet, but we don't have a padded seat or an elongated seat. The plastic is separate from the cushion but it hasn't been an issue for us. The handles are wonderful because it gives comfort to my daughter that she isn't going to fall. We use a step stool to get on and off the potty so her feet are on the step stool teh whole time. It fits well in the diaper bag as well so i can take it with us places and she can use the toilet when we are out and about as well, which for us is a lot of time not at home.

Cute Potty Seat

My 24 month old daughter loves this potty seat. I bought it for her last month, and as soon as she saw it, she wanted to start using it right away! She now goes pee-pee on it everyday (we're still working on poo-poo). The only negative to this potty seat is that it's not made for elongated seats, which we have in both of our bathrooms, so it tends to slide alittle (it doesn't seem to bother my daughter, though). I wish that would have been stated in the product description because I probably wouldn't have purchased it had I known it wasn't going to be a perfect fit. I would have returned it and exchanged it for a different one that's made for elongated seats if my daughter didn't love it so much.

Great Potty Seat

I just purchased this Princess style after we bought the same brand but Winnie the Pooh style at Babies R Us. They must have been out of Princess. We originally bought the Fisher Price potty that sits on the floor and plays music when the sensor is wet, but my little princess wouldn't use it because she wanted to sit on Mommy's potty. So I looked around and decided on this brand due to the handles. She loves it, can sit by herself on it, and it doesn't slip off of the toilet when you add the self adhesive tabs on the bottom. The price is great as well.
