Looks Much Better than the Photo

If you're looking at the picture above and have mixed feelings about the mane and tail, don't worry. The horse I got had a deep red mane and tail that matched perfectly.
Also, as long as you have a philips-head screwdriver you have everything you need to put it together. For something so simple to put together it is surprisingly well made and sturdy. The design of the runners prevent all but the most violent and deliberate efforts to tip over.
Also, the lack of a bridle rope hanging down is a design advantage. It give the child no option other than holding onto the pegs or the neck, both more secure than holding onto a loose bridle rope.
In summary, well made and a joy to the kids who ride it, this Cherry Rocking Horse is so attractive it is one toy you won't mind leaving out when company come.
CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE! 2008-05-17
WOW! I bought 2 of these for my 2 year old twins and wow is it a grrrrrreat buy. The price is right, the rocking horse is very sturdy and it is a very good looking horse. My twins love to rock on these and I know that they will last a very long time! Highly recommend this rocking horse!
Even my one year old likes it

My son received this rocking horse for his first birthday (in the Cognac finish). The horse is beautiful and seems very sturdy and high quality. He enjoys rocking back and forth and petting the horses mane. He is not able to get onto the horse by himself yet (though he is walking), but I don't anticipate it will take him too long to figure out. It only took me 25 minutes and a philips head screwdriver to assemble, and I am not an engineer. He loves it and I think it will get many years of use.

The rocking horse is really very cute and easy to put together. The price on Amazon.com was the best I could find. Shipping was quick and all pieces were included. The instructions to put it together were clear. I bought the horses for my twins who are 2. They are able to get on and off by themselves. My 5 year old also loves them and still fits very well on them.
