Best Children's Music CD

Steve is a fantastic musician who write music of the highest quality for kids. The songs are fun and educational. The music is ctachy without being annoying. All of the music is played by real instruments NOt electronics. I can't think of anything better to have kids listen to!
Fantastic kids' CD!! 2008-07-30
This is one of the best finds in children's music this year--the songs are creative, fun, and upbeat. It's hard to keep my 6 year old interested in kids' music (always pleading for Hannah Montana much to my resistance) but she just loves this CD.
Hands Down Best in Children's Music 2008-05-31
I borrowed this from the library, and after listening to it one time, I went out and bought it for my daughters. My kids love SteveSongs and this special CD. The music is sweet, melodic, funny and poignant. I can listen to it over and over and I don't get sick of hearing it.
Who could be grouchy singing "This Day is Yours and Mine...It's a Marvelous Day!" And, my heart melts when he sings his sweet lullaby to Katie "You are my favorite little lullaby. As I watch you close your eyes and take your first breath of dream, all the troubles of this world fall away from me." That exactly what it feels like to watch a child you love sleep, and Steve captures it perfectly. My kids think "Fast Monkey" is hilarious and they love "The Beach Song". "The Water Cycle" helped my 6 year old learn about clouds at school, and I still hum "vegetables and fruit give me what my body needs" at lunch time!
Each song is one that is educational or silly or dance-inspiring. I will honestly be sad the day my children outgrow this CD. It's just fantastic.
The one CD everyone can agree on! We love it! 2008-05-04
My husband, my 2 boys (ages 2 and 4), and I love this CD. Thank you to my sister for introducing us to it. We received this CD a few weeks ago and it is the only CD in the car that we all can agree on and we all know the words to. The songs are fun, make us laugh, and hero makes me cry everytime. I only hope that we are lucky enough to catch SteveSongs sometime in concert...we are on the West Coast and he has no concerts planned near us at this time. I am buying 4 copies of this CD to give for birthday presents, teachers gifts, and for my friend and her family. This is a can't miss gift.

We loved this CD so much that we're already planning on going to his big concert in CT in January! This CD is great for inside the house or in the car and the BEST thing is that my husband and I LOVE it just as much as our sons (ages 2 1/2 and 1) do! The CD offers a variety uses of intruments and voices (Steve is very talented with his range of different voices and he also invited children and other adults to sing, too)! Most of the songs are fast and upbeat and a couple are relaxing. Buy this CD and you'll want to see him live in concert, too!

Very highly recommended for children ages 2 to 9, "Marvelous Day!" showcases the talent and originality of children's entertainer Steve Roslonek who performs professionally as SteveSongs. This newest CD album features sixteen lively and 'kid friendly' tunes that range in genre from funky rock, to flute-y folk, to power pop - and blends a sophisticated mix of instruments while dong so. It should be noted that children actually helped to write three of the original songs. Uplifting, Educational, and Hilarious 2006-10-07
We had the great fortune of seeing Steve perform recently at the historic Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. Our three-year old daughter knows the theatre well, as her father and I are both performers, which sometimes makes us tough critics. Steve won us over instantly. He opened with Marvelous Day and we were rapt. Steve's voice is lyrically beautiful, but extremely versatile. His character voices are excellent and amusing for all ages. His melodies range from timeless to ridiculous. Fast Monkey makes me laugh every time I hear it, and I've yet to get through If You Want to Fly without crying. His authenticity is palpable both on stage and on his CDs. He is an excellent singer songwriter, who collaborates with top notch musicians to create music with great wit, integrity, honesty, and humor. We bought Marvelous Day and Flying Guitar in the lobby immediately following his show. We made it less than 48 hours before buying his 3 other CDs online. We will be giving his CDs as Christmas gifts this year to all our friends with children, and some without. Can't wait until all 5 CDs are available on Amazon.com. My husband listens to Marvelous Day every day on his way to work. Our daughter has to wait until he's home to hear it. She's happy with Flying Guitar until night fall. We're officially a Stevesongs family!
