piece of garbage

This is the worst online purchasing experience I've ever had. I bought this unit online, paid for expediting delivery, and it came in late, which I didn't complain about. The unit worked only ONCE, and the power never turns on any more. Called the customer service, and they said I should call whom I purchased it from. I was like a ball being kicked around with no help. Finally SpectonIQ agreed to pick up my unit at their cost and send me a new one. Three weeks has passed, and they still haven't sent UPS to pick up this trash. I'm going to file complaint to BBB. Hope they send me a good replacement and go out of business.
Great value, perfect for the car with 2 kids

This DVD player has been perfect for what I wanted -- an inexpensive, 2-screen system for the car. For the actual player, I used my old case to hang on the back seat, because the case that comes with it I couldn't figure out a way to mount it so I didn't have to take it down to change DVDs. For the second screen the included case is fine. The cord is nice and long, too, which had been a problem with my old player. It doesn't play those Doritos-smudged DVDs quite as well as my home player, but picture and sound quality is good as long as you keep your DVDs clean.
No Sound !!! Why sell something like this ?

I don't understand how these ever made it to market. They are cheaply made in China and they come with virtually NO SOUND. I am not kidding you. I thought it was a good deal since it came with a carrying case but I sure was wrong.
The only good review you will find on these units is from the poor sellers who bought a bunch of them and are trying to sell them as fast as they can before the word gets out that these players are defective !!!
And try to get Protron's customer service to help you! That is a nightmare in itself!

this was the best purchase i have ever made. The seller was excellent. I had previously purchased an item on ebay and will never buy there again. Had an awful experience. Took me over amonth to get my product. The service here was excellent and the product which i really haven't used much yet seem to be working well and my grandkids love it. Can't wait to see how well it works on vacation next week. All i can say is AMAZON keep up the good work.

The power switch does not turn the unit off. Sound is like whispering on the high level, both on the speakerphone and the earphones. Colored lines appear on the screen periodically. Freezes every now and then.
Customer support was not helpful at all. They suggested turning the unit off for 20 minutes and calling them back if it does not fix all problems, which of course it did not.
I was lucky enough that a place I ordered it from provides full refund.
