Great for resistive breathing training (RBT) with clients who have had surgery or neuromuscular diseases. It improves respiratory support for phonation, speech articulation, and swallowing. Helps both inspiratory and expiratory resistive breathing training which strengthens the skeletal muscles of the neck as well as the pharyngeal and laryngeal muscles. Especially helpful in preventing aspiration. Produces great results in improving cough effort and breath support in speech training. The Breather is an excellent oral/motor muscle trainer that improves swallow safety which can lead to a diet upgrade. Can be used with metered dose inhalers, nebulization treatments, and breathing/speaking valves. Instructions included, 4½ long, top rack dishwasher safe.
