Broken before it arrived!!
2008-01-22
I ordered this for my son for his 3rd B-Day. It arrived and was immediately put away. A few weeks later I wrapped the box and my son opened it on his birthday only to find a broken guitar. The handle had completely broken from the base. Very poor quality!!!
It's a toy.

I bought two of these the red one and the black one for my twins. They are of inferior quality. They will stay in tune to some extent after you tighten up the tuning pegs a bit. It comes with one pick and an extra string (not strings). The bridge is made out of a piece of wood. Am I upset?? No....it's a toy. My kids love them and they are still in one piece. They don't hold a tune real well but my kids don't know how to play yet. If you are looking for better quality, may I suggest spending more money and getting one of the big names like Gibson, Fender,etc...But for a young childs first guitar with real strings and not just buttons that make music this is a good bang for your buck. Young children should, however, be supervised when using these.
unplayable and broken

Yes, it's a toy, but the strings should stay in the tuning pegs. When it arrived, two strings were out of their pegs and couldn't be rewound because the tuning pegs were completely loose. We are sending it back.
child loves it

We love this guitar. I bought it for my son when he was 20 months old. It is a great size and super cute. I have not had the tuning problems that other folks have had. There was a note on the box that said to tighted the screws on the tuning knobs -after I did this, it has stayed pretty much in tune. But honestly, we don't care that much about how in-tune it is - my two year old is playing it. So for the price, you cannot beat it. Perfect for toddlers. I am about to buy four more for our friends' birthday gifts.
great value

I ordered this guitar for my 4 yr old grandson for Xmas after he became interested in my guitar. The company did a fantastic job and it was shipped and received in time for Xmas .The guitar was surprising detailed not like those plastic ones you see in stores with fishing line strings..these were real steel strings with an extra string just in case. The only draw back so far has been in keeping the one of the strings taunt. There is an adjustment screw in the back of each tuning peg but if you constantly tighten it , it becomes loose..overall my grandson is completely amused with his "tar"and spends hours playing us songs...thanks
No sweet music here...

This beautiful Acoustic Guitar set in rockin' red is the ideal toy for toddlers and children! It is fully functional Acoustic Guitar which is perfect for "pretend" play. This Guitar is 23 inches in length and features a rosewood body, lindenwood binding, and 15 frets. Please note that this Guitar does NOT come tuned. To tune the Guitar, we recommend tightening the screws on the tuning knobs. These screws are located on the tuning knobs on the back of the Guitar. This set also has everything your child needs to get started with the Guitar, including extra strings and a pick. This 23" Acoustic Guitar set makes a great gift for kids and is a great value for the money! IMPORTANT NOTE: This Guitar comes packaged in the original manufacturer's box. The box has a full color photo of a Guitar on the front. Please keep this in mind when purchasing this Guitar as a gift.

I bought this toy guitar for my 3 year old grandson and he fell in love with it. It looks just like a "real" guitar. In fact, he put it in his dad's guitar stand. It can't be tuned like a grown-up's, but for a 3 year old and considering the inexpensive price tag, it's just fine. If he continues to show an interest in music, I will buy him a better one. I will definitely shop at Austin Bazaar again....they were better than advertised.

Worst toy ever purchased... scratches, screws that cannot be tightened, terrible quality in every way.
