I read other reviews and was impressed by the reviews of the good quality. I am however not impressed with the real thing. The sound quality is much poorer than some scopes that have cost even less. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who is doing anything greater than taking BP's even then I would be cautious.

This is the best stethoscope I have owned yet. Excellent sound and clarity. Move over Littman.
Better than the High-priced Scopes. 2007-11-20
I have used many scopes over the 25+ years of my nursing career, but these clear-sound scopes fit the bill best for several reasons: The patients LOVE THEM! They really help cut the ice with anxious patients both big and small. I can personally hear as well-or-better than with the so-called cardiology scopes, which are so expensive. I loved the first one so much I bought several more and now have a colorful collection to match my uniforms, and the unique head design catches a lot of attention. I highly recommend this scope to any medical personel requiring a dependable, accurate, great-looking scope for a very reasonable cost. You won't be sorry! Good, novelty product. I'm going to give them to two nieces who are doctors.
The ad says that they work as well as real stethoscopes, so I believe them.
The price was the best I found and they look nice.

I am a nurse in a cardiology office. I must admit that I was first interested in the Clear sound Prestige because of the heart shaped head. As I am getting older :) I have noticed I have been having increased difficulty hearing vitals. The blood pressure sounds very clear and audible on all sites even radial pulses. I can also hear through the sweaters/shirts with ease just like they advertise. Some of our patients with heart disease or valve issues have difficult to obtain heart sounds- no problem with this stethoscope. I particularly like the fact that when I am holding the head to obtain vitals- no noise from my hand touching or rubbing disturbs my hearing. Our patients understandably have some anxiety about having to see us.The comments I get from my patients are amusing, but just talking about it also puts them at ease. It doesn't appear as "imposingly medical" to them.I have seen since I have been using it- that they are more relaxed. It is also very very light around my neck. I liked using my cardiac Littman- but it was heavy and expensive.The prestige ear pieces are exceedingly comfortable to my ears, something I have always had issues with in the past. I can honestly say this is such a super deal and I will replace it with another in a second if I needed to. Everyone of my fellow nurses now have ordered this stethoscope.

Bought this for my wife, she's currently taking a Paramedic class. It works great in the home, but while in an Ambulance you cannot hear any vitals. Would reccommend you just pay the extra money to get a Littmman if you need it for any thing other than home stuff!!

The bell is adorable but I have found that it's a bit larger than it appears in the picture and not too lightweight. I can hear lung and heart sounds very cleary. This stethoscope is sold for a bargain of a price.

I ordered this after the frustration of nursing school, they use Littmans. Which are SUPPOSED to be the Ferrari of stethoscopes, but I couldn't hear a thing with them! I know I am not deaf, but I needed something that was more sensitive. Of course I am attracted to girly things, so I ended up ordering the Red-heart stethoscope. I have to say I am NOT disappointed with this. Vitals sounds are sharp and clear. Also, I have gotten a lot of compliments with this! It's fashion-forward and functional. So all around I would highly recommend this product!
Very functional & lightweight 2008-02-18
I love this stethoscope. The sound is wonderful and I am able to auscultate lung & breath sounds even through clothing! It is very lightweight (which is important on 12 hour shifts!) and also a conversation starter with my patients.
