Editorial Review
HP5 is a perfect companion for your weekend hiking trips. It has a comfortable cork handle with nylon strap and a small EVA grip for use when the stick is folded. The telescopic stick is made of 3 strong aluminum alloy sections and can be adjusted to a desired height between 55" and 27 1/2". It also has spring-loaded antishock mechanism inside which can be turned on/off with a twist between the two sections. Functional graphic on the stick includes a US/Metric Ruler. At the bottom end of the stick, there is a carbide tip hiden inside the rubber endcap. It is very helpful when walking on rocky hard surface. A snow disc is included for use on loose top soil or muddy road. Other convenient accessories include a liquid filled mini compass and a thermometer. Both could be weared on watch band if prefered.

Hiking stick is as good as a Leki 2008-04-07
Stick is a good buy at 25 bucks. anti-shock and compass/thermometer are a bonus. Will probably buy another.

great pole 2007-11-21
A really nice hiking stick, love the little compass. great price, fast shipping. I use a walking stick 3-4 times a week. my last one just broke at the hinge.

Good Buy for the Money 2007-10-11
I have used several hiking poles over the years and I like this one the best. It is sturdy and held up well climbing up rock walls at Havasupai Falls. I only wish it would telescope to a smaller size as it is hard to fit in my small luggage when I am traveling light.

very good 2008-07-01
This replaced my older (broken) one. It's well built, good quality and the cork handle sure is a big plus for comfort!! No complaints!

Did the job! 2008-06-21
My husband and I both used these for our recent trip to Turkey, where we did some extensive climbing over rocks, steep paths, etc. Never used hiking poles before - and these proved to be immensely useful! It gave us that extra confidence on some of the trickier terrain. Didn't give them 5 stars, because I'm a tough grader! :)

Nice but hard to figure out? 2008-06-19
I just received this product and haven't used it yet but think I will like it. I especially liked the feel of the handle. My only real complaint is that I had a really hard time figuring out how to put it together and adjust it! Would be great if it came with some kind of directions...

Hiiking Stick 2008-06-18
The stick is light for carrying. I initially had some trouble unscrewing and adjusting the telescoping stick. Hand grip is comfortable for carrying. Too bad it won't collapse to a shorter length to stow in a backpack.

mothers day gift 2008-06-09
bought this for my ma for mothers day. she loves to hike often and this gives her a little extra footing on the path..she thinks it's a great hiking pole.. and takes it every time..
thanks
