Rebate was not honored
2008-08-14
First of all, I've had no trouble with the keyboard and mouse. They both work well and look nice.
My problem is that a rebate I mailed in May was not honored. Today, 3 months later, I received an email saying that the item was not purchased within the time frame of the rebate. I have mailed out at least a dozen rebates in the past four or five years, and they have all been processed and redeemed without any trouble. I have heard the horrors of rebates; so I check my submissions at least five times before mailing. I think when the rebate was being processed, someone looked at a ship date or delivery date instead of the buy date.
In the future, I will not take into consideration the rebate when deciding whether I should buy a Logitech product.
Logitech Wireless products

Outstanding product. Lives up to all it's claims and doesn't mention a host of other benefits.
Good design, can't turn off some anoying features, battery life is subpar

I found that this product had way too many features, like the tactile zoom function on the keyboard, I kept hitting it by accident and it kept zooming until I turned it off. Also the battery life on both the keyboard and mouse only lasted a month to two months at a time before needing to replace the batteries.
Very comfortable, ergonomic design

- Keys are soft and comfortable
- Mouse grip fits hand nicely
- Wireless connection is pretty reliable
Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3200 Laser
2008-08-07
I read all 120+ reviews and decided to get it any way, since almost 100 of them were 4-5 stars. The mouse is awsome, very comfortable and accurate. I like the search, and fwd/back buttons best. The keyboard was easy to set up, looks and feels good. Everything works like it's suppose to. As far as the small media buttons at the top, I only use volume up,down, and mute. So they're easy to hit. I'm docking it a star because the answer button didn't work in Yahoo Messenger. I haven't had a chance to try it in Windows Live Messenger. But the VoIP button launches either one. And of course the "zoom" thing on the left is a pain, only because it doesn't always return to 100% when you want it to.
This is a fine set from Logitech, as with all of they're products, and especially for the price, 40 bucks w/shipping from Tech4Less. They have 1 left, if you don't buy it, I will. 'nuff said?
Great Keyboard, but has some quirks

Take advantage of all your PC's great media and communication capabilities in first-class comfort and style. Working with Windows Vista, the Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser makes it easy to access advanced features such as Dynamic Search and DocFlip. Enjoy ultra-precise navigation with the high-resolution laser mouse, and easy Internet call management with convenient one-touch controls.
Acceptable Wireless Keyboard/Mouse -- with reservations
2008-07-31
I am of the opinion that the designer of this keyboard doesn't have a left hand little finger -- or sticks it straight out like a tea drinker. The placement of the zoom, etc. controls on the left side of the keyboard is maddening. The keyboard also isn't "centered" properly, so when I type (keyboard on lap), I have to shift the keyboard to the right. I agree with other reviews that the date/time window is difficult to read and therefore basically useless. On the plus side, the volume controls are particularly nice, better than the rotary style. I'm also not enamoured of the mouse. My previous keyboard mouse combination, also from Logitech, included an optical mouse instead of laser, which was much more accurate and responsive. If you need a cordless mouse for gaming, this one won't please you, but for business purposes, it's fine. System is compatible with Windows Vista, and the keyboard has a nice "feel", neither too stiff nor too loose. If it weren't for those left-hand zoom controls, I'd rate this combination much higher.
What were they thinking?

Let me start out by saying I love logitech products. All my keyboards for the last decade have been logitech keyboards and currently I own three different logitech wireless keyboards. So I am a true believer, but let me tell you, this keyboard is not right. It lacks all the things that made logitech great. The main issue of this keyboard is that it has no pressure point. You hit the keys and there is no resistance, no snapping back of the keys. The mouse is great and the whole setup works fairly well for a wireless keyboard, but I really wish this thing had some kind of pressure point. Also, the keyboard has a watch and date field on the top of the keyboard. I am not sure what is up with that. I think this display could be a little bit more functional and could be used for something useful, like a Num Lock on/ off indicator for instance. To sum it up, this might be a great product, but it is very different from what you might be used to from logitech. So don't make the mistake that I made, don't buy the keyboard at a place where you can't return it, that way you can return it if you don't like it.
Works as expected

We are using this key board in conjuction with a projection screen. Now the presentor can be any where in the room. Our other wireless limited them to 6 ft.
Logitech MX3200 works great I own two of them. Rebate not so.
2008-07-25
Logitech MX3200 works great I own two of them but Logitech contested my rebate and I had to call them to clarify. The web said the receipt I turn in was not with in the time period. Yeah right. Its not my first rodeo. So I called Customer Service to clarify. Very nice lady ask to verify some of my info over the phone, put me on hold for a munnite and wala what do you know rebate is on the way. I see this more and more where companies are contesting my rebates eventhough it was sent in correctly. I think this is just Bad Business.
