very nice 2008-06-21
one of my best purchases in a while. i love this mouse. incredible performance.

One of the best 2008-06-20
Have tried many mice from many companies over the years, but Logitech has definitely taken the lead with their VX Revolution and Nano notebook mice. In fact I use the Revolution as a desktop mouse, perfect for professional r&d work. Great ergonomics, excellent button feel, and style. My only complaint, though minor, is the scroll wheel when in ratcheted mode sounds and feels a little clunky. In other words, smaller and smoother detents would be preferred. Otherwise highly recommended.

Very good mouse for use at home, travel and work. 2008-06-09
Works like a charm on both Mac OSX, Windows Vista and XP.
Good quality laser mouse that is small enough to easily fit in your travel bag, but large enough to enable you to work with it for hours.
The USB transmitter/receiver can be hidden inside the mouse itself during travel, so you don't loose it.
Communicates on 2.4GHz, and I have not had any interference from other sources.
Highly recommended!

Like it but sometimes charging is a hassle 2008-06-06
Good mouse when you can get it to charge up. I would recommend that you look at the VX nano instead.

Logitech VX Revolution Review 2008-06-04
The Logitech VX revolution is very comfortable to use and after a short adjustment period to the speed, I have come to love the scroll wheel.

Best Notebook Mouse that I have used 2008-07-24
I have used quite a few notebook mice over the years(microsoft and other logitech) and he VX Revolution is by far the best. I currently have 3 of these mice and use them with an IBM laptop (using the logitech setpoint software) and 2 Apple laptops (powerbook G4 and macbook). I don't utilize the logitech software on the Apple machines as I have had problems with it, I utilize Steermouse and it works great (costs @ $20).

The main thing that I like about this mouse is the size/shape and the placement of the buttons. With the software I can configure the button actions for the way that I work.

I can't recommend this mouse higher.

Excellent mouse! Rec'd to friends 2008-07-14
I've used the VX Revolution on a laptop for a month now, the tracking precision and control is very good, the feel is solid, and the line-of-sight range is at least 18 feet. The five buttons and scroll wheel includes a magnifier button to enlarge the screen display, very handy for viewing small print. An on/off switch to save battery, a storage compartment for the USB transceiver are great. Definitely designed for right-handers, and I use mice ambidextrously all the time. It survived a weeklong roadtrip packed with the laptop no problem. I'm recommending it to friends who are looking for a mouse that has it all. As usual, Amazon delivered it fast and as advertised. :)

No better mouse of this type 2008-06-27
I have had the VX for over one year and purchased another not long ago. The VX is Logitech's big break through in making this type of mouse "free" and unencumbered: its really light (one battery), one can shut it off to save the battery and the battery last longer than most mice with two batteries. The USB plug-in sending unit also stores in a slot in the mouse, automatically shutting it off in the process. The zoom and scroll features really work, and right/left clicks are normal. With add-on Teflon pads, its even faster and more nimble on the surface ... its not just for notebooks!

Great product!

Mac users beware 2008-06-25
The default Mac mouse behaves such that a slow movement of the hand will cause the pointer to move short distances while a quick movement will cause the pointer to shoot across the screen. Mac mice have been like this for as long as I can remember. PC users are frequently annoyed by it, as they are accustomed to a more linear Windows mouse, but I love it - it lets you traverse long distances without sacrificing fine detail precision.

You cannot get that behavior with this mouse, using the Mouse pref pane or the Logitech Control Center. There is just no way to adjust the settings to get it back. The closest I got was using USB Overdrive, but even that was not perfect, and it caused the scroll wheel to go totally insane - scrolling 2 pages per click. Unacceptable. This mouse will give Mac users a very different pointer speed/acceleration than what they are used to, and there is no way to change it. Windows users will probably like it. I hate it. It's back to the Mighty Mouse, which I also hate, for now.

I wanted to like this mouse. It feels high quality. One problem is that it is fairly weighty, so when you pick it up to recenter it, you have to hold onto it fairly tightly. The thumb grip is great for that, but there is no equivalent grip on the other side for your ring/pinky finger. I found my fingers getting strained.

Also, the Logitech Control Center. *shiver* I'm using 2.6.0 and "buggy" would be polite.

Excellent Mouse 2008-06-24
I love this mouse. It has a great look and feel to it. I love that the USB dongle plugs into it when the mouse is not in use. It also turns the mous off when the USB dongle plugs in so that you do not waste the battery life. It also takes only AA battery. I would recommend this mouse to anyone interested in a light, sleek, cordless mouse with a good bettery life.
