Canon Mid-Entry Level Scanner 2008-07-09
For the price, this not a bad scanner. I have had all sorts of Canon scanners in the past, this is by far the better one that I have used so far. Size is pretty good. Not too bulky and heavy. The image being scanned are decent and sharp. If you just doing ordinary picture scanning, this scanner does it job.

The software that comes with is somewhat easy to user for those not too familiar with scanning imaging software. However, the amount of editing you can do to the scanned image is somewhat limited.

It is literally a plug and play scanner minus installed the driver and optional scanning software for the scanner.

Overall, this scanner does what it is asked to do.

Excellent Scanner 2008-06-29
I had to have a scanner in a hurry. After reading reviews I chose the Canon 4400F. I was very pleased with the delivery time as well as the scanner itself. It was easy to hook up and use. The quality of the scans are top notch.

Canon CanoScan 4400F Color Image Scanner 2008-06-27
I am very pleased with this scanner. Very easy to scan pictures, slides documents and 35mm negative strips. I give it 4 stars rating.

pleased 2008-06-26
Was a little scepticle after reading some of the reviews. But after using the scanner I am pleased withe results. The software included works very well and the scanner does an exceptional job. Have copied close to 500 old slides and negatives and the results are great. Worth every peeny I paid for it. Would reccomend this scanner to anybody.

CanoScan 4400F 2008-06-18
After reading some reviews regarding this scanner, I was a little nervous about having had already ordered it, but that turned out to be without foundation. Admittedly, I haven't used it to a great extent yet, but I have used it for a number of varying projects, i.e. newspaper clippings, color photos, 35mm slides, and regular ol' documents. Thus far, it has performed flawlessly and quietly. One feature that I have found remarkable is the ability of my Corel Paintshop Pro software to restore my faded slides (some are more than 40 years old)with one click of a button. Of course this scanner is not going to perform as speedily as one priced at "the top of the line" but I would recommend this scanner to anyone, especially considering its economical price.

Nice Value 2008-07-18
This scanner is a good value - a little clunky but does the job. I wish there weren't so much software associated with it though - the installation is quite an ordeal.

All in all though, it has some nice features, you can create files in pdf, jpeg and other formats, you can send directly to a printer or as an email attachment. Net net - a nice value.

Excellent Product 2008-07-17
I have found Canoscan 4400F to be very easy to use, the quality of the scan for negatives, pictures and documents is very good, and the software very rich in features (though it's ease of use could have been better).

Canon CanoScan 4400F - Best All-Round 2008-07-15
Bottom Line - Solid, dependable and relatively simple to operate. With just a few clicks I am getting extremely high resolution scans which should satisfy the needs of 75% of the scanner-using population. The other 25% are high-tech photography nerds who need that extra scanning power and features.

I would highly recommend this scanner to anyone that needs a machine to meet his or her daily needs.

Cannon 4400F 2008-07-14
