The web cam is one of the easiest to use and quality of the picture is really good. It has a lot of features that a common person may not use. Definitely a good buy.

I don't want to install their bundled software, so when prompted I just
chose to install the drivers, but guess what -- the setup program just
froze. Come on, how hard is it to write a proper setup? I should've let
windows hardware wizard to search the drivers on the CD instead.
Great inexpensive web cam for online video chats!!! 2007-05-30
I use this web camera with my toshiba laptop for online video chats with my friends. I have a regular internet line from Verizon.
In Skype and Yahoo Messenger the camera works just great!
It also comes with a microphone and ear phone included.
I enjoy it myself and highly recommend it!

I have been using this for more than a month now, with a laptop which I effectively use as a desktop. Picture quality is quite good and good functionality of zoom as well.
Only problem is, I cannot attach it to the top of the laptop monitor; which I wouldn't want to as of now. I have to keep on a desk or a flat surface to use it.
Another negative aspect - you need to take care not to topple it while using. Moving the wire can topple it easily - I guess this is a part of every cam.
To summarize, a very good product for desktop users and also for laptop users who don't move the laptop much.

I was excited and even bought two (one for me and one for my sister out of state). Then, I had weird pop ups and after looking around on the Internet, it looks like there might be a virus with the software. Unfortunately, I still don't have the issue resolved and the webcam is in the "techie dead pile." Additionally, my sister has been having "registry" problems, which I think is due to the camera. DONT BUY.
Vista certified? NOPE! 2007-09-30
This cam worked fine with XP, but now that I've upgraded to Vista, no more! I looked on the creative website and they have no plans of releasing Vista drivers for this device. Beware, Creative performs extremely poorly in supporting their products.

I have a non-IM Creative Live Cam, and the video quality on that one is better. This one isn't horrible, but it's not as good as my other. Too bad.
worth the money 2007-08-16
This webcam is worth the money. The installation was easy, it sits well on my laptop screen and is stable. Just not satisfied with the colours rendered by this camera, the image tends to become more monochromatic and sepia like sometimes. Resolution is good, pictures taken from this WEBCAM are good, clear enough for putting on the internet without editing and resizing. The software comes with a bunch of features with video recording feature, which is good. Overall, a good camera worth 4 stars.
