Editorial Review
Born to be mild? Amos Lee's sophomore effort for Blue Note follows firmly in the gentle guitar strums of his well-received 2005 debut and opening slots for Norah Jones and Bob Dylan. Little has changed the second time around, which will come as a relief to those enthralled by his first release. He remains a sensitive sort, mixing his insightful, reflective lyrics with lovely, unforced melodies played by backing musicians that stay on low boil. These tunes go down as smoothly as hot chocolate on a cold day, yet Lee brings an unassuming sincerity to the proceedings with his cozy, amiable voice. Comparisons to Bill Withers and James Taylor are accurate if inevitable, but when the gospel organ quivers into "Skipping Stone," it's clear Lee isn't stuck in a folk-pop rut.

Lee's approach is similar to the way Keb' Mo' treats the blues--he injects his cushy personality into an established genre, writes good if somewhat casual songs, and doesn't push the envelope too far. The final third of the album is perhaps too mellow, and a few midtempo tracks could have perked things up. But adult-contemporary fans looking for dependable Sunday morning music will welcome Supply and Demand as a quality follow-up brimming with subtle soul, style, and sophistication. --Hal Horowitz

The BEST in a long time 2008-05-24
I would give this CD more then 5 stars if I could. It is the second cd by Amos Lee that I have purchased so far, after hearing how good the first one was, and I am sure that I will continue to by a lifelong fan.

Amos Lee's Supply & Demand 2008-05-22
Heard him perform on Austin City Limits...was not disappointed when I ordered the CD. It is wonderful music from a talented songwriter & performer. Have shared it with friends & family & they are impressed as well.

Well done Amos Lee! 2008-04-29
I think Amos Lee is one of the most talented musicians that I have come across in the recent past. He got this album after listening to "Arms of a woman" from the Last Kiss soundtrack. This album is packed with great songs and was very impressed with his vocal talent. Overall a great album!

Amos Lee! 2008-04-04
I saw him on Austin City Limits, and couldn't wait to get his CD. And now I have all of them.
A great CD!

Amazing Vocals and songs 2008-04-02
This is one of Amos Lee's best CD's. Its mellow, with a few pick me up songs included. I listened to this when I was on maternity leave and fell in love with this guy's voice. A true talent.

Nice 2nd record ... but the law of the 2nd record strikes again! 2008-01-29
This CD is a nice effort, with some really good songs, and the same warm folk/blues/pop/ballad style that Amos seems to habit naturally. But IMHO it's not as good as his 1st record ... as it is often the case after such successful debuts.
Nevertheless, I am fan of Amos and am looking forward to hearing more from him. This guy has a style and a voice.

Amos Lee's second cd 2008-01-19
As with his first CD, Amos Lee didn't disappoint with his second offering, SUPPLY AND DEMAND. As a songwriter, he never falls short of perfection.
I look forward to the next CD.

My kids and I all love this CD! 2007-12-29
This is probably one of the best CDs I've purchased during the past year. My kids love it too - I get a great kick out of listening to them sing at the tops of their lungs to "Shout Out Loud", while we are driving in the car. Maybe the exposure from the AT&T commercial (Sweat Pea) will bring more interest to his music. I hope so, because he deserves a large audience.

AT&T get real good in Music 2007-12-26
This is the first time ever I write a review for AMAZON. Which is kind of sad because I am a good costumer since 5 years, but the reason is that I can get real MP3 Songs via Amazon now. Good by iTunes with this slow and sad application and restriction to the songs. A song is a song and just to get the Amazon way successful I will by more here!
This particular song (Sweet Pea) I heard the first time on a AT&T Commercial and just loved it. I am a big fan of Jami Cullum and now of Amos Lee too!
