A Basic system, fair price for item.

To put it bluntly, you get what you pay for with this item. It is a basic surround sound system. This is very similar to the Coby systems sold at many retailers. It is not High powered, and to hear parts, especially speaking parts, the volume does seem to need to be higher. This does have true 5.1 analog surround capability, although again not the most powerful, it does a decent job. I use it in my bedroom. If you have a bigger living room or entertainment area, I recommend saving your money for a more powerful system. Again, the DVD play is decent average player, but it's nothing fancy. Again, if choosing this for your main system, I might recommend paying a bit more for a decent player, there are mixed reviews on the net for this one, although I have no complaints. It a great second systmen for my house in my bedroom, saved a fair penny for decent sound overall.

I could put up with turning the volume up very high to hear anything, but after only six months of light use, the machine simply won't turn on any more. Dead.
