The best bouncer ever!

I love this bouncer for my son, and he loves it too. I love the fact that it's shallow enough so I don't feel that his head bobs up and down. It is very supportive. I can turn on the vibrate and/or the nature sounds, or I can have it on the floor next to me and use my foot to bounce it. He is almost alwsys calmed by this bouncer.

Great for reflux babies

My daughter has acid reflux and was unable to lie flat in her baby bed since we brought her home from the hospital. She slept in her car seat for the first couple of weeks, but I wanted something more comfortable for her as I knew that she would have to sleep upright for a while. I call this the "Cadillac of bouncy seats". It is very comfortable and my daughter sleeps well in it. I would definitely recommend it.

Not entirely safe

The tubing that forms the base of the bouncer fits into plastic oval mounts and are secured by metal pins. The pins, made out of cheap stamped metal, are folded to create a spring. The problem is that these pins break very easily along the crease where they are folded, and once they break, the base can collapse. One day while my two month old son was in the bouncer, one of the tubes slipped out of the mount (two pins were broken) and the bouncer lurched forward. Luckily I was close by and held on to the seat, preventing my son from falling out. The manual said to call Kids II, the maker of the chair, for customer service. I called, left a message and received no reply. I called Boppy's customer service several times and each time left a message and, again, no reply. I emailed customer service at Boppy and once again received no response.

Comfortable, but bad for baby's spine

Our newborn loved the seat, probably feeling snug and being reminded of life in the womb. However, it is important to note that the baby's spine and neck are cramped in this seat and given no room to grow, Especially when a baby is growing so much, we really wanted to avoid that so we stopped using the seat.

I've been using this product for 3 months now (started when my son was 2 months old) it's a comfy safe place to put him. He enjoys the vibrating feature .. As other reviewers mentioned the toy bar isn't in the best location. Other than that my son spends a lot of time in here watching me run around the house and I don't know what I'd do without it!

not very portable

So far, all I have is assembly experience with this seat, I'm not due for three weeks. I got it, was really excited, took it out of the box, and started putting pieces together. After 10 minutes I was done, with minimal help from the instructions. We are in the process of moving, however, and I didn't realize that once you put it together you can't take it apart without unscrewing pieces that aren't meant to come apart. I wish they made it collapsible or something, like the boppy travel swing. Another thing I noticed is that the toy bar is really right there in the baby's face. Again, the travel swing has much better design in this area too.

Happy with product

We are happy with this product and our son spends time in it daily. If I had one criticism, it would be that the head support provided for newborns seems to prop our newborn's head too much so that I wonder if it affects his ability to breathe. We ended up turning the head support upside down to alleviate this concern & adding another blanket underneath him to help support his posture & ensure his ability to breathe easily.

this is a great bouncer. it takes up some space but we used it all the time when the baby was newborn and we continue to use it at 6 months.

it is a cute lounger and our baby has always liked being in it. the toy bar attachment and sounds / music / vibrations all worked well for us.

this was definitely a good gift.

The Holy Grail in Baby Gear

Everyone parent has one item that makes life with their new baby a little easier. This was mine. Lets start with the shape, my little guy loved the way this hugged him, he would immediately start snoozing when his little butt hit this thing. It reminds me of a big papasan like hammock.
The fabric is super soft and washed up like a dream (just use your noggin and don't dry it on high) The vibration was soothing but not intrusive to others in the room, the nature sounds nice and the heartbeat feature was wonderful!
When he finally outgrew it (sob) I used the head hugger thingy as a nap pad in his car seat.
I love this product, it is so far superior to everything else out there that I simply cannot recommend it highly enough!

These Boppy chairs are excellent. I have twins and always need a place to "sit" the baby while I tend to baby "B" or bottles or anything else. The vibrating mechanism I have found key to pacifying the babies and often will pull it off and place it on the crib next to the baby so they can sleep better. I highly recommend these chairs.
