Getting in the mood 2008-03-16
This thing is great. When she walked into the bedroom I just hit the remote and the right "mood" music started playing softly to help her relax and get in ...well, the mood. The only problem I see is that you have to lift your arm up and point the remote at it to turn it off, when all you want to do at that point is sleep. Well worth the money.

SanDisk Sansa Base Station for Sansa c200 and e200 Series Players 2008-02-17
Ordered the Sansa Base Station recently and have no complaints except for one minor one; the Owners Manual which takes a rocket sceintist to understand and someone with hawk eyes to see; print as small as an ant so be prepared to wear your glasses or contacts when reading this manual, but everything worked perfectly once the updater they recommend you install on your Sansa player is installed, I noticed some reviewers mentioned they had problems with their players not functioning probably the reason why is because they never installed the updater for the base station to function properly I would not buy into some of these reviewers rewiews because of inaccuracies on their part but take into account how many good reviews there is on the product thats your best bet when buying products from amazon

Great Buy 2008-01-25
Reasonably priced. Actually works great. Got tired of having to turn my PC on to charge up my Sansa e250. Have not tried to connect it to my PC as it is in another room. Hooked up powered 2.1 speakers to it and it rocks the house. All the stero I need.

Remote control is limited On/Off, Volume Up/Down, Track Next/previous. Still a basic function remote control

Fantastic and blows the IPOD docs away 2008-01-22
Great product as advertised. Works with relative ease and holds each item securely. The remote is great and is real useful by just fast forwarding to the next song. It served as a fantastic addition to my home stereo system without linking my PC to my receiver. By the way this design is much more superior than the ipod dock my girlfriend owns.

GREAT product!!!! 2008-01-21
I bought the Sandisk base along with a Sandisk MP3 player...both from
Amazon. I got a great price on both products and my son (for whom the gift was purchased) is beyond thrilled with his new toy!!!

I did a lot of research before purchasing a Sandisk and the reviews were right on target - it's a great product!!

Also, the folks I ordered from got the products to me before Christmas even though I ordered pretty late! I will definitely use Amazon and this company again!!! :-)

Excellent Product 2008-07-13
I am not sure why there would be no so good reviews about this product. I have had it for over a month now and it does exactly as was advertised and the price was excellent Looks good anywhere and works great.

Works fine.. could be better - Worthless Remote 2008-07-13
It's a docking station. Enough said. It looks pretty good - the whole Sansa line does. It connects easily to my receiver. It recharges the unit easily. If that is all you need, it's great. Hence 3 stars.

But, here are my faults with it. One, the stupid useless remote doesn't really do anything for you... plus it NEVER stays in the "remote holding slot" ...

Operationally, two things bug me that I feel should have been engineered in as an integrated product (it works pretty much like a "universal" dock):

(1) The signal to the Receiver should be clean - not sent through internal sound/volume processing: (Is there an option?) For example, when I first turn it on, I have to remove it, manually turn up the volume on the unit, and replace it on the dock. It defaults to 50% volume on the unit, which forces you to turn the receiver to dangerously high levels (god forbid you forget to turn the receiver down before changing the source selector to 'Radio'!! Can you say blown speakers?) You cannot even adjust the volume with it ON the dock.. so again off...up..on! No matter what output source I use (stereo, computer, etc.) I am going to use ITS sound processing and volume controls! Stupid.

(2) When it is ON the dock (i.e. NOT battery-powered) it should have an option to keep the display on if the unit is on (similar to Palm/Pocket PC). As a result, when I shut off the stereo, the Sansa is still on - and I don't realize... it basically goes into sleep mode as if on battery power. So, to change the song you have to push a button to awaken the unit, and again to change the song.

And the remote is worthless....

In summary, it works, its good looking . but, nowhere near a flawless gem of a device.

Sansa Docking Station 2008-06-04
This unit was wasy to install and easy to operate. I am very happy with my purchase.

works as advertised 2008-05-29
As in the other reviews, controls are basic. First base station ordered the remote did not work. Sent back through amazon, second base received worked fine. Had to update software on Sansa player. Instruction OK fairly painless.

Good product 2008-04-15
Does the basic job no frills. I read many reviews before purchasing so there were no surprises. Does about what i expected for $50. If i wanted a better interface I would have spent the money on a sound bridge. But to answer a question that i read on a review: the difference between this and just plugging an rca jack is huge. This has an integrated amp so you don't have to work your amp so hard and the sound quality is greatly improved because it's a digital feed.
