Editorial Review
Running back and forth to the gas station to fill up car and bike tires, lawnmower wheels, boat trailers, and all those things that tend to go flat in the off season can get, well, tiresome. Cut out the back and forth with Black & Decker's air station inflator. This handy unit plugs into any 120 volt outlet in the shop, or garage to quickly and conveniently pump up sports balls, tires, air mattresses and more. It also plugs into auto cigarette lighters and doesn't take up much space in the car, boat, or camper for inflating sleeping pads and tires. The inflator easily inflates tires up to 200 psi. And, there's no more guessing when the tire is filled to capacity. The inflator is equipped with Black & Decker's EZ air dial that automatically shuts off once you've hit the desired psi. Convenient on-board cord, needle, and hose storage keeps all the goods in one place so that you don't have to hunt down the needle to take care of that hard-to-bounce basketball. --Brian D. Olson

Excellent Small Inflator 2008-05-04
This air station started paying for itself from the first use. With gas stations charging 50 cents and more for air these days, this is very nice to have on hand. Here are some things to keep in mind when using.

1. You need an extension cord. The unit's cord is way to small to reach around cars and extension cords are cheap.
2. This has a small piston so it will take time to fill car/truck tires. Bicycle tires fill faster.
3. Invest in a good tire gauge. There are a lot of good digital or dial gauges that are very accurate. The station has a gauge on top that can be set to what pressure is needed but it isn't completely accurate.
4. The pumping noise is what should be expected from this small inflator. I have a 12-volt inflator that sounds like a high-pitched mini jet engine so this B&D is quiet in comparison.
5. The valve adaptor is hard plastic but has not been a problem. It would be nice if they would have used brass but then the price would probably be higher.

The air station works on AC or DC current and comes with car adaptor, ball needle and extension nozzle. At $50 it is hard to go wrong here. If treated right, this little air station will last a long time and pay for itself. Well worth adding to the garage for car, truck, bicycle tires and all those sports balls.

Grandson's Gift 2008-04-01
My grandson is moving out on his own, therefore his dad's tools won't be as easlily accessible. He mentioned that he wanted to start getting his own collection of tools, etc. He was very pleased with my gift of this portable air station.

Best air station for the money 2008-03-29
Pros:
- Auto Shut-off at selected pressure (very nice feature)
- Stays put while inflating unlike small air compressors that dance
- Cords and accessories store neatly and securely
- AC or DC power options
- Quiet (not sure what other reviewers are comparing it to, but it works without a huge racket)

Cons:
- Non-compact size - fine for garage; not sure if I'd keep in trunk

Based on my research before purchasing this unit, there is nothing comparable in this price range.

Works fine, but pumps a little slow 2008-03-26
Using this product sure beats going to the gas station for air. The pump takes more time per tire than a compressed air pumo (understandably), but the convenience of not having to get air at the station is worth it. The dial pressure guage is not very accurate so make sure you have a standard pressure guage.

I would rate this product higher if it pumped faster and had a better, more accurate guage. But overall, I'm glad I bought it.

a Must-Have!! 2008-03-25
Because I travel a lot, I like to keep this in my car. If I notice my tires look a little low, I can plug it into the power adapter in my car and inflate my tires. I don't always have the time to find a working air pump at gas stations. We take it on the boat to inflate the rafts & innertubes. Since it also has a plug my son is able to plug it in and pump up the tires on his bike. It's not as noisy as my previous one but it also doesn't seem to inflate as quickly either. One of my tires was really low and it seemed to take a while to inflate it. But being able to set the psi, turn it on and know that it will turn itself off when it reaches the limit is nice. No more trying to figure out if I need to put more air in or let a little out.

Works well on bikes and motorcycles. 2008-03-07
Great product, only drawback is the short power cord. Would recommend this for bike and motorcycle tires. Quick, easy and fast. The gauge was not accurate on mine, so I would use an accurate gauge to determine how much it is off.

Decent Inflator. 2008-03-02
This unit is slim enough to fit behind the seat of my compact pickup truck. It works fine. I like that you can set it to the desired pressure and walk away from the machine to do something else. I've had two flats lately; I think that has has already paid for itself.

This will go with me when I travel.. I think that this along with jumper cables and a very basic set of tools belong in any vehicle.

It could take 15 minutes to inflate a fully flat tire. Thats small potatoes.

Broke when attempting to use for the first time 2008-02-29
I got the product out of the box and tried to use it. When I went to lock the plastic piece on to my tire it broke in to 3 pieces.
