Love Em ! 2008-10-08
Great set of headphones. Had em for over a yer now and ther still kickin. Comfortable as heck. Awesome sound. Perfect for work outs !!

When modded, outshines anything I've used. 2008-09-30
I'm no audiophile, but these little guys sound great. However with a little modding (Kramer Mod), they will beat out most things around their price range. Seriously guys, 10 bucks for headphones is not a lot. Plus, the color s cool too.

Pros:
Sounds great
Wires never tangle
Looks discrete and cool
Adjustable wire
Very Bassy
Sound Isolation

Cons:
Uncomfortable when used for long periods of time
Whenever you eat something, or something touches the wire, you will hear an annoying noise. Oh well.
Foam tips get a little disgusting at time (You may find some earwax if your one of those people who don't clean your ears too often).

Note: Try breathing over the foam tips so that they get mushy. Then shove the marshmallows ALL THE WAY IN. This should give you the best sound possible.

Just buy them.

Very comfortable but..... 2008-09-30
These headphones are very comfortable, they almost feel like nothing is in your ear. The only problem is they sound horrible. There is no bass at all. It sounds like someone took a speaker out of one of my two year old's toys and stuck it in an earbud. I still use them but if you are looking for quality sound, look at something else or a newer model. I did notice the model number of mine isn't the same as the ones being sold in department stores. Maybe that's why I got mine for the price I did.

Fantastic sound isolation 2008-09-28
I have to say that for the cost these are a pleasant surprise.

Pros (apart from the price of course)
* Isolate sound quite well, could compete with pricier models. Have used this on the metro, in aeroplanes, blocking out husband's horribly tasteless 70s disco cds and on busy streets with traffic racing by, and while it doesn't block all sound it does a very decent job of getting rid of enough noise to allow you to fade away and enjoy your music.
* THEY STAY IN MY EAR!! My expensive Sony noise cancelling earphones have been rendered useless as the buds won't stay in my ears - and this is when standing still. With the JVC I could tap dance and they'd still be there
* Chord doesn't get tangled
* Nice colour...

Cons:
* The sound is only so-so, as can be expected from earphones in this price range.
* The chord came off the earbud after 6 months. This could be my own fault however, as I've been pretty careless with it.

On the whole, don't expect to be wowed by the sound; I mainly listen to classical music and the earphones don't do justice to the nuances in the music. However, if you're looking for sound isolation for a ridiculously good price and aren't too fussed about the sound you really cannot go wrong with a pair of these, even if only as a spare pair. I'll definitely purchase one again as an extra pair.

Oh, and did I mention they come in very cute colours?

Great Product! 2008-09-23
This is my second set of these earphones. They are the best I've ever used...seriously. They are really good blocking out ambient noise...even airplane noise. They fit comfortably in the ears and stay put once in. I highly recommend this product.

Good quality and sturdy headphone 2008-09-19

Disappointing sound, poor design 2008-09-12
These earbuds are extremely disappointing. They have horrible bass and low-middle tones, rendering any music that depends on drums or deep strings (cello, specifically) to mush. You can get somewhat of a better sound by pushing them extremely deep into your ear, but that is uncomfortable due to the unfortunate design of the earbuds. The shape is quizzical at best- they're simply not designed with the human ear in mind. They don't come out of the ear easily because of the shape- you have to bend the lower portion of your ear to get a good grip on them. Lastly, the cord will forever be kinked because of how it was rolled in the packaging. The only moderately redeeming feature is the foam insert is fairly comfortable, but this comfort is negated by the design of the back end of the buds.

I bought these buds after going through two pairs of jBuds (one stolen, one lost), thinking they may stick around longer because of the god awful color (who would want to steal puke green earbuds? ). But these are going into the bin as soon as my 3rd pair of jBuds arrives.

Simply serves its function 2008-09-09
If you own the standard iPod earbuds, which eventually degrade and eventually break completely, then these serve as a worthy replacement. They paint a better auditory experience and give a very slight hint of bass.

They might feel weird when you first use them, but you get used to sticking it in your ear. They drown out background noise very well.

Also, the marshmallow bits are attracted to earwax, but that just means more frequent hygiene check-ups.

Very well worth the inexpensive price.

Love them, except for one major flaw 2008-08-25
Compared to other in-ear headphones:

Comfort: Excellent! Not only are the foam "marshmallows" more squishy and comfortable than ANY headphone I've ever owned, but the balance of their weight seems to better keep them in your ear. Apple's ear buds or Phillips' Virtual Surround, for example, always felt like they were gradually sliding out of my ears. As a result, I was constantly pushing them around, and my ears were none too happy about it.

Sound: Good sound, though not the best, but its major strength is how much ambient noise is blocked out. They're like ear plugs with a speaker in the middle; you can still hear just fine walking down a busy street with an ambulance wailing past.

Durability: Poor, and the reason I rate them a 3 and not a 5. If you refer to the product photo: where the cable connects to the audio jack, the plastic molding around the wire is the same design as you would find on Apple ear buds. Rather than being flexible to distribute wear and tear, the plastic molding is rigid enough that it creates a pressure point at its top. The cable bends back and forth at this single spot much more than others and gradually breaks. Essentially, this "protection" merely moves the pressure point a half inch up the cable.

After a little over a year of use, these headphones broke in the same manner my Apple ear buds all have: at that pressure point the cable started looking a bit pinched, one of the speakers started sounding a little crackly, and by the end of the week only one side of the headphones worked. I did use these headphones on a daily basis, but always treated them as gently as one can expect of an item that lives in a purse and gym bag when not in use.

I've seen other headphones with jacks that seem less likely to wear in this way. You'd think a design flaw like this would stop being produced sooner or later. Until then, I will stop buying them, despite this item's wonderful comfort level and good sound quality.

JVC Marshmallows 2008-08-23
Great product with soft, flexible (marshmallow) ear pieces, excellent acoustics, and just the right length connection wire. Works great in my i-pod.
