These Marshmallows are Sweet! 2008-09-29
I began my earbud search after my first use with the Ipod buds that fell out of my ears immediately, and in my opinion are cheap and not up to Apples abilities. Shame on Apple.
So, I then bought a pair of Koss...They sounded great, but the cord was uneven and not adjustable. When I asked about this, I was told they were designed to wear on one side...that bugged me a bit, as I like to be able to make that decision myself..in any event, those got returned...and then I tried a pair of Phillips...the buds fell out, or when they stayed in, hurt my ears.....then I bought a mid range pair of Sony's, and they also fell out of my baby ears..
Lastly, I saw these JVC's at Walmart, and liked how they matched my black Ipod..paid 19.99 for them...didn't know I could pick them up here for a few dollars less..oh well..

Meanwhile, here are the perks:
Nice comfy ear fit with 2 sizes to choose from. The foam has the ability to form to the inside of your ear without causing pain and without falling out during power walking. Like all earbuds they keep the outside noise at a minimum.

And now for the cons:
I'm no expert on sound, but these had me trying to adjust my Ipod equalizer just to get some contrast...I wasn't getting the highs and lows that I thought an inner ear bud would provide..the bass was a bit flat and muffled...Mick Jagger sounds good, but I've heard him sound better.

All in all, great price for a bud that will stay in your ear and will suffice until your next big paycheck when you can invest in a better sounding pair.

I felt generous and rated them 4 stars just for their efforts!

Now, add some chocolate with your Marshmallows and you have a S'more!

LOL

Replacement cushions are too hard to find and too expensive 2008-09-20
I've never owned headphones/earbuds that cost more than $5 before! I was getting tired of having to replace broken buds all the time, so I figured that if I spent a bit more they might last longer. The wires and buds HAVE lasted longer than my other sets however the memory foam cushions wear out over time though and it doesn't look like you're going to find replacements in any brick and motor stores. One replacement cushion is $2.50 and shipping is $5, so you're going to spend $10 just to buy new cushions. This isn't worth it to me. I paid $10 for these in the first place, so why would I spend the same amount for replacement parts? This is wasteful, both financially and environmentally.

As far as everything else goes I'm not an audio snob so to me the sound quality is just fine. They really do cancel out a lot of noise and they are quite comfortable.

A Question 2008-08-30
Though I agree that for running and such these may not be the best otherwise they serve pretty well. I do have a question though, does anyone know if it is possible to replace the marshmallow buds? They wear out and now I cannot find anywhere to replace them. If you cannot replace them then I would say these are pretty poor as the buds do wear out in time.

Great sound for the price 2008-08-24
I bought these to replace the buds that came with my Samsung MP3 player. The Samsung headphones sound good, but they became uncomfortable after wearing them for a while.

I would say the SQ with these were as good, if not better than the originals. I especially like the base. I like that they fit snuggly in my ears and are comfortable. My Son and I both like them (he got his Mom's), but my wife doesn't like the sound. My Son and I are both confused, we think they are great!

For the price - these are very, very, good!

Not for athletic activity 2008-08-13
If you aren't running or using these during any athletic activity, these aren't bad, but they get wet and slick with sweat moisture at which point you will be annoyed when they won't stay in your ears.

Got What I Wanted 2008-05-15
Before I was using those Philips virtual sound earbuds, which sounded great but would not stay in my ears. These are just what I wanted.

I put them to the test!
-Hitachi SV18YB Orbital Sander
-Unsanded Deck
-Creative Zen 4GB
-These ear buds

I cannot hear the sander and though I do have to turn up the Zen, sound quality is not sacrificed. Very happy with the purchase.

Sad sad sound 2008-05-03
Definitely more comfortable than the regular ipod headphones but the sound blatantly sucks. There is about 0% bass that can be heard. Waste of all money.

Stood up to the reviews 2008-04-30
Pretty decent ones. Had other reputed ones for cheaper price, but the good reviews got me to buy it.
Audio quality is pretty good. The only problem I see is that the ear buds could be a little bit weird to look at. They could get really greasy after some use.

High Quality for a Low Price 2008-04-18
Like many, I have bought just about every economical set of headphones on the market. These are by far the best for my money. The in-ear design is comfortable. The in-ear part is not rubber or plastic, it is a memory foam quite similar to foam ear plugs. It fills the ear and cuts-out a large amount of external noise. I am looking forward to using these as I cutting my lawn. I recommend these especially if you can purchase them between $10-$20.
