Well Worth The Money

About a month ago I purchased the Kensington 33199 Digital FM Transmitter and auto charger for my ipod and its GREAT!!! It came rather quickly through the mail and was easy to use. I simply plugged it in, using 90.5 fm... I live on the southside of Atlanta and travel through all areas of Georgia without any static or losing signal. The volume and bass are excellent. I would strongly recommend this product for anyone who is looking to use their ipod and get the sounds from a cd!
Maybe it's me...

but i have no luck with these fm transmitters. Finally hardwired my ipod to my F-150. Who knows, it seems as if some auto makers have stronger antennas that allow these to work better then others but for me, I can't do the fm route. Too much interference and on long drives you might have to hunt for 5 or 6 different stations to use. Bah Humbug!
Best FM transmitter

This is the one to get. None of the others come close. This is my second one. I have one in each car now. Even works in high density urban areas with tons of high power radio stations filling the band.
Works Great!!

I purchased this item for my 17 year old daughter. She saids it works beautifully in her car. Perfect and no problems. I would highly recommend it.
Great sound and clarity
2008-03-06
I originally bought the Kensington 33199 Digital FM Tramsitter & Auto Charger for my sister. She raved about how great it was to finally have something that would play her iPOD clearly and didn't require changing batteries all the time. I decided to buy it for myself and it's great. The sound is clear and when I am done driving I can still use my iPOD because it's fully charged. I don't have any issues w/tuning it to an unused radio frequency but I also live in a rural area so there are many dial settings to choose from. The only negative feature is that it's a bit hard to read the setting on the transmitter. It does have 3 presets that make it easy-once you set them you're don't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend this product. It's affordable, easy to use and sounds great.
Best FM Modulator I've Used

Best sound quality of any FM modulator I've used! I've yet to try it out in the city where there are a lot more radio waves in the air but out in the rural areas it works great. Highly recommended!
Working Great So Far

Got this over a month ago. Have used several times and so far, so good. It is compact, lightweight. I've always set it to the station suggested and have had no problems with reception, except for once at the airport, but with all the interference signals there, that's about expected. Sound is clear, no static issues. My only complaint is that it would be great if it came in some sort of case or pouch, but that's no biggie. Good buy.
Transmisor FM

Considero que es bastante desente, a veces se ele mete un poco de ruido , pero puede ser del sistema de alta tensión del vehículo ( cables de candela o tapa de distribusión)En general, funciona adecuadamente.
WHAT AN AMAZING PRODUCT!!!

Kensington outdid themselves! This product is second to none. The only drawback is the minor radio interference that can be heard when softer music is playing. It's not the transmitter's fault. If you live in an area saturated with FM radio frequencies, it will be challenging to find an open freq. Once you do, you won't be disappointed! It's time to purchase a Kensington FM transmitter for your iPod and stop cluttering your car with CD's!!! The question that remains...Why is Kensington discontinuing Model 33199? IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT!!!
great functionality!

i found this product easy to use and it made life in my car a breeze. suddenly i am surrounded by music and podcasts and everything is fine! unfortately the design was poor for me. the lighter/charger segment that reads the radio signal on it fits right by the gear shifter in my 96 VW. therefore every time i switched gears i would tap it out and the music would stop. a loud BUZZ of static ensued. in addition, because of that design i cannot see the station to reset it while driving. ideally if it gets knocked out of the lighter case i have to pull over and bend my head down to reset the station on teh transmitter. very difficult maneuver. i now have a new one that is designed so that you can look at the road and at the station on the transmitter without risking your life. big improvment! both would go off randomly though :-( better than NO transmitter.
