Poor sound quality

This xylopone is cute, colorful, and sturdily constructed, but the sound quality is really poor. It just doesn't sound musical at all, it sounds like sticks hitting a piece of wood and I can barely tell the 8 notes apart. I guess I shouldn't expect much given the price and that it's a children's toy but I will continue looking for a better xylophone for my son.

fabulous toy for our very organic family. Yeah, no plastic! Great sound and favorite of my grand daughter.
