Good but not great

I like this product but its not great.
PROS: works as soon as you plug it in(xp,) great sound quality when used for videos, cheap alternative to getting usb headphones, inner components seam sturdy.
CONS: It suffers when trying to listen to music, as far as built quality goes the casing on mine was a bit cheap
THOUGHTS: on one side it wasn't pushed together all the way so i pushed it together and I thought that i might have broken it a little so I wrapped some tape around it to help keep it from breaking, just in case.
This is a good product for people who need this kind of device but if you plan on listing to music then your going to be disappointed.
Had to fiddle with it a minute, but now its perfect.

Got this for an old dell desktop that doesn't have a sound card. Bottomline: cheap as crap but works real nice. You might have to fiddle for a few minutes but after that it works fine. I think that had more to do with speakers or headphones that the card itself. Can't beat it for the price.
Bad sound quality no volume control 2008-05-25
The sound quality is terrible especially at higher volumes, and there is absolutely no volume control. I have a Dell Inspiron with the buttons on the front and they're absolutely useless with this device. Linux sound is screwy as well.
Doesn't Work Well 2008-04-13
Unfortuntaly my 3D Sound stick is already broken after about two weeks of use. The sound was really fuzzy and crackly. I was very disappointed!

for the price i guess this small adaptor does it thing, but breaks very easily. I have changed like 4 of them already!

Way too loud 2008-02-27
I tried this after the headphone jack on my Vaio got wonky.. just about went deaf. I'd adjust the volume all the way down, no change in output. It was either muted or ear piercing. I would not recommend this product.

This is a terrible, terrible product.
Audio pops every time I click.
Makes high pitched screeching noise.
Worst device I've ever owned. I'm serious about that.
broke apart after 1 week 2008-02-19
At first I was really pleased with this product- it started working right away, without even installing a driver.
But the quality of the USB card is really bad- the case broke apart after a few days, and then it stopped working altogether after 1 week. Poor quality - don't buy it!
Works well for a tiny price

For five bucks you just can't beat this deal. It works well, with decent sound quality. I use it solely for my headset, which I switch to for playing games online and talking on Ventrilo. Sound quality is on par with or better than my onboard sound, though not up to a high end standalone card.
