Great toy for babies!

This is a colorful and imaginative toy for babies. We got it for my daughter when she was about 3 months old and she loved to lie on the mat and look at all the colorful toys above her and, eventually, played with them all with her little hands. She continued to love it even as she got older and only "outgrew" it around 10 months when we passed it on to a relative with a new baby. At night, when she would get cranky, we would just take off her clothes, lie her on this toy, and she would be happy for at least another 45 minutes - yep, it was that good! I would recommend this toy and buy it again!

Hard To Keep Up Sometimes

My daughter loves this mat!! At 2 1/2 months she goes crazy everytime I lay her down on it. The mirror is great, she loves staring at herself in it and she loves trying to hit the toys. I only one issue with this mat. The bar falls over a lot and I have to rig it by placing somthing agaist it to keep it up. But for a yard sale find its an GREAT mat!

This gym is amazing! My 3-month-old spends hours looking at her hands grabbing at the arch and at the toys. All she wants to do is play with this gym, during every waking hour! I don't know what she would have done without it! Clearly it is teaching her something that she is right at the age to learn.

Great as a travelling gym mat & younger baby

This is a great gym mat for a younger baby. My son seemed to enjoy it very much when he was younger (5 months & less). He loved the different colors. However, as he got older it did not stand up to his "toughness". When he really started to grab and pull at the toys from the bar, he would pull the whole bar down. In addition, the mat was too small to accomodate his growing size. He would just roll right off it. What I did was take the removable toys off the mat and let him play with them.

This mat is also a great mat for when you travel. It folds up nice and is not bulky. But, again do not even bother taking it with you when your baby starts grabbing with some strength. Just take the removable toys with you and leave the mat home.

Get another play gym

Don't bother with this play gym unless you want to constantly hold up the bar. It is really a cute product if it worked. Unfortunetly, the striped bar will not hold up properly. My mom has the rainforest play gym and it is far superior. Much sturdier. This one is pretty much useless as far as a play gym. Get the rainforest play gym you'll be happier.

Not very impressed

I purchased this play mat for my son when he was about 3 months old. I like it because it is portable and brightly colored to stimulate him. Also, it said it had sounds which I assumed would be music. It includes a purple cat toy that meows and plays one song which I was a little disappointed about but that's not a big deal. What I didn't like about this playmat was that after a few weeks of playing on it, the bar no longer stands upright. The fabric that connects to the bar to hold it up has stretched out and I now have to hold the bar up in order for him to play with it.

Excellent toy!

My daughter loved this! We started putting her on it when she was a couple weeks old. She still enjoyed it at 5 1/2 months. Nice for traveling.

Lost interest in it pretty fast...

At the time I had purchased this, I had been on the search for a smaller sized floor gym for my newborn. The house we were in was pretty small, and I was looking for something I could fold up easily and store aside when I wasn't using it. For that purpose I would give it an A+. But it failed to hold his attention for any longer than a minute. I would say we used this no more than a month before I stored it in a closet completely. A friend of mine had the Tiny Love - Fun in the Sun gym and he enjoyed that one MUCH more. I think that he liked that one more since it had more things dangling from above. This one has both dangling toys as well as belly toys. Bu my son hated lying on his belly, so he never used the belly toys. My experience with this wasn't as good as other mom's out there, but it was really easy to fold up and carry around when we needed it. Maybe your baby will enjoy it more than mine did...

Actually is a GREAT portable gym. My daughter enjoy a lot this gym, and she have 5 months!
You can add toys (from linkadoos) to make it more entertainment.
