Very disappointed

I did some research to find a wheelchair cushion that would make my chair more comfortable for my thighs and bottom when I must use it outside the house. After three or four outtings of approximately two hours each, an hour of which was using the gel cushion on my wheelchair, I contacted the company to return it. They responded promptly and offered to take it back for a refund, less postage (and it is HEAVY) within a period of days. I chose not to mail it back because the return postage would have been costly due to its size and bulk and unless I express mailed it for additional cost, it could not have been received by the dealer within its stated time perameters.
The gel cushion just doesn't hold up. It was great upon first use... then each subsequent use, it wasn't as thick nor comfortable. It does not appear to be durable whatsoever.
I recommend looking for alternatives. This cushion is just not built to last and be comfortable for even a short period of time. In addition, consider its weight and the cost of returning it against trying it and finding this out yourself.

I bought this for my son, who has problems with pressure points causing discomfort. I noticed a BIG difference already, after his first full day of use. He had to reposition less, and his hips didn't ache at the end of the day like they did with his old cushion.
