Splendid Sound Wherever I Go
2008-03-27
My Creative Travelsound Zen V is my travel companion wherever I go. Whether it's jazz, vocal, classic, or opera - it sounds great, crisp, and clear. There are plenty of devices for the iPod, and plenty of hotel rooms equipped with consoles that one can use provided you've got the iPod. I am perfectly happy with my Zen V (8 GB), and adding the Travelsound to it is worth the expense, and the extra effort of carrying it around with me. I have played recordings of Maria Callas singing at her most dramatic, and even Wagner's Tristan, and the sound was perfect. Likewise when I had some relaxation music play while soaking in the bathtub after a 12 hour flight. When connecting the Travelsound to the power outlet (anywhere in the world), it will also recharge the player, so that it is ready to go the next day. Some may want to have a device that is smaller, and perhaps even lighter. Still, once you've experienced the Creative Travelsound Zen V, you'll never want to be without it ever after.
Great MP3 Accessory

This is a great addition to the functionality of the Zen V Plus. And it does even more. Docking was easy and straight forward. Sound is great and has enough volume for the average sized room. Can be connected to other MP3 players and laptop computer as an external or optional speaker system. Has good sound and charges your Zen while it plays. Very portable. The Zen player will also power the Travelsound speaker system without being connected to AC power, though I have not tested how long the players battery will last in this configuration yet, but it is a nice option.
Does the job

I had a Zen V and wanted to be able to listen books around the house without earphones and music to go to sleep by. I can't find any way in which it does not meet those needs
Great accessory

I bought these from Amazon in the UK and they are great except for one thing. I have to turn the Zen on 'manually' i.e. I can't start it from the speakers or the remote. Is this the same for everyone? The manual doesn't talk about this at all.
Zen V Portable Speakers

Very good product. The sound is exceptionally good, especially when using the wide sound button.
Travels Well! Sounds Good!

Since I already had a Zen V mp3 player, I considered buying this unit to compliment it. It's compact size and sturdy construction make it an item one can easily pack for travel. Antenna for use with radio feature included on Zen V Plus is a nice feature. I am using a case for an old mini DVD player to transport because the travel bag included is not all that protective.

This little speaker packs a lot of punch and is perfect for music in my dorm room.

Good sound for the size and just what I wanted. Handy in that it can be run on either AC or with batteries. Comes with remote control also, however haven't yet figured out how to use it for between playlists...so far it's gotten me to forward or backwards of next song between the list.
Great trip companion

My wife and I just took a trip to Costa Rica, and purchased the Creative Docking station at the last minute. The speakers sound great IMO, no sub woofer needed. The unit even served as our alarm clock (hehe, did not bring a watch).
For trips, I don't know how we lived without it!
