ok but not great
2007-11-12
These HP 21 black and 23 color inkjet cartridges are very light, easy to install and they allow the printer to print out good quality, durable black and all colors of ink on the page. They store for about a year after you buy them so if you want to stock up for your office or personal printing needs that's great! (They even come with an expiration date!) HP also packs these well so that it is difficult for the cartridge to become damaged during transit. These ink cartridges are also compact so storing them is easy.
One thing that I don't like is that the ink goes too quickly. If you print a lot, you might even need to replace this cartridge every ten days or so. My needs are about 15 pages per week and I have to change cartridges roughly every six weeks. That's not good; although to be fair to these HP ink cartridges I am printing graphics.
Another caveat: in a store you'll probably save some money buying this two inkjet cartridge pack. On some websites (ahem) the savings is lost as another reviewer correctly notes.
Overall, the quality of the ink is rather good despite my one complaint that the ink goes faster than I would like it to go. Nevertheless, the cartridges provide you with the ability to print a multitude of colors on your paper and replacement is easy.
Three stars for this product. These ink cartridges lose a point for not lasting longer; and this pack of two inkjet cartridges loses another star for being a little overpriced by some vendors.
Buy separate, save money

Rather than buying this combo, just buy HP21 and HP22 separately and save more than $2. Besides, when sold separately, these are qualified for free shipping at Amazon.
HEWLETT PACKARDS; Ink ....."WELL?....." Where is it?
2007-08-13
Hewlett Packard at least with this printer I have the HP Desk jet 3940 is a good basic printer. However?...Apparently Hewlett Packard was not selling "Enough Ink" with their prvious printers like the 8900C?...Which had inke Cartridges that lasted longer than, " 4 prints?".. These tiny winney; Ink Cartridges are a "RIP OFF"... and a halF!!...Their price is OUTRAGOUS! and the amount of actual printing one can do? is super limited by how "SUPER FAST" these cartridges, "RUN OUT OF INK!!".. Even on the lowest ink flow setting? The cartridges are gone in what seemsm like "60 seconds".!! So another $30.00 or MORE is expected to keep the printer full...Then? to add insult to injurie? They have an annoying little pop up that lets you know "YOUR INK IS LOW (SEND MORE MONEY!!") Buy MORE INK!!
As a result of Hewlett Packards shrinking their Ink Cartridges to almost "NOTHING" by volume? I will NEVER!! buy another one of their Printers Ever again!! This was a cheap shot by HP to push their ink line and get richer quicker.....By shorting the Ink capacity....It's a "Joke"
Ink Secured

When it comes to getting ink cartridges, most of us only get one cartridge for their needs, rather than two. Nevertheless, most us need two kinds for our everyday printing needs. HP knows that with all their high-quality inkjet printers. But with so much more of us willing to print up photos, and make labels, many of us use more than we know. This pair of inkjet cartirdges, HP 21 & 22, is a combo pack that is used for not just your common everyday printing needs for documents like files and reports, but you can also use it to print ads from online articles from your favorite websites, as well as coupons and many other things. These mainly are used of HP Deskjet printers for the 3900 series. Although you may get these seperately at other prices, or wasting more money by buying refill kits, you're better off getting this combo pack altogether. It really does a great job at printing, and I really recommend the brand and value that HP makes for all printing projects.

This twin pack purchase is a great deal for the price. The ink prints well and seems to last longer than other inks purchasedHEWLETT PACKARD (HP) C9508BN#140 21 BLACK TWINPACK CARTRIDGE - (C9508BN#140) Genuine Brand Name (OEM) Product
HP Ink Cartridges

My ink cartridges got here pretty quick and packaging was great. My only other comment is, My HP Deskjet 3940 series printer, eat's up ink to quick. The cartriges are very expensive. I order #'s 21(Black) & # 22 (Tri-color). I got a combo pack & price was only $1.00 less then cost at Walmart. I really would like the Kodack 3 in one printer but it cost's to much money ( this product doesn't eat up ink so fast and the ink cartridges range from $14.99 each to $23.00 each.
Original ink cost too much

This is old school story, the bu$ine$$ of HP's inks cartridges is to sell you the printer cheap, rip you off with the ink.
HP has great products, the only thing I'll be against with is the price of their ink, no wonder why so many people decide to refill the cartridge, which I deeply suffer not doing it just to take care of my printer (cartridge bleeding).

HP 21 Ink Cartridge

I agree. The HP 21 ink cartridge is a rip off. I've had my printer (HPF2110 from Wal-Mart) for less than a month and it is already out of black ink. My print preferences were set to 300 dpi and 'fast printing' to conserve ink and I only printed 5 - 10 sheets a paper a week. To make matters worse, the printer didn't even come with a black ink cartridge (it was advertised on the box as having everything necessary) or the advertised USB cable.
I wrote the company and complained, but they didn't even give me the courtesy of a response. That was three weeks ago.
I've trusted HP in the past to have good customer service and to put out a quality product. Now I feel taken advantage of and I doubt that I will ever buy another one of their products. I urge you to be cautious about spending your hard earned money on an HP product.
