These speakers are very clear but have a very tinny sound. There is no bass even after adjusting the equalizer on the MP3 player. They're fine for listening to podcasts or spoken word but inadequate for music.

These speakers are great at this price. The sound is better than you would expect, they design is great and efficient and they come with everything you need.

Um, wow. 2008-06-25
Stop reading this and purchase, quickly, before it's too late. What an age we live in where one can obtain speakers such as these. If these had been released even a few years ago I'm positive the manufacturers would have been burned at the stake for witchcraft. For the size, the sound quality is nothing short of amazing. Plug it into the wall or any laptop to charge, and it lasts a few days with intermittent use. Works with an ipod, or, God forbid, a Zune, and probably a number of other last-to-market music devices. Also works with your phone if you're one of those teenagers who downloads music that way. I'm guessing that the only reason these are so inexpensive is because of the lack of a volume control, but I'd be hard pressed to come up with a device that would use these speakers and not have its own volume control. Hmmm... let me think about it. Nope, I can't come up with one. This is about the size of a standard thin clamshell design phone or a small rounded stone you might find at the edge of a river. These are extremely handy for superlight backpacking, pic-nics in the park, faking someone out who thinks it's a mobile phone, skipping across a river, or for light self defense. Update: I showed these to my girlfriend and she immediately distracted me (by quite a devious but nonetheless enjoyable method which is another story and would require another type of review entirely) and purloined them for her own use as computer speakers at her office. She has nothing but high praise for the set.
Good speakers for the price

The sound is a little tinny, like it's coming from a transistor radio. However, you can expect too much from these types of speakers and for the price and convenience, they're a good value.

Great sound for the cost and size. You can't possibly expect more than what you get from these speakers, but most likely you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Perfect 2008-06-16
I got this because I wanted something little to use with the mp3 player on my phone and I was really surprised at the sound quality. They're excellent for their small size - even better than my computer's speakers.
Sound good for the size! 2008-06-16
Got this for $12.11! Looks good. Mirrored surfaces are pretty but finger print up very easily. Battery is not replaceable :( Quite a bit better sounding than the stereo speakers in my phone... really sound very good. Not as much amplification as I had hoped for... but passable. Very compact!
I got these to more easily hear the VZ Navigator on my phone. It will work well for that and also be nice for sitting outside and listening to a tune. I'm very happy with it.

These little speakers give out great sound for their size and are a solid value.

I'd give this zero stars if the website let me. This product did not work at all. I didn't return it because cost of postage was just too high.
