This thing is fun!

Bought this after buying the Logitech G25 wheel. The shift plate wasn't available so I had to order that from another website. The center post for the wheel gets a little annoying when working the pedals but otherwise a fun product. *NOTE* I also use this for my Saitek X52 and the shift plate works great for the throttle (you can switch the sides the plate is mounted quickly and easily)
great for forza 2

this is a great product. very sturdy. works well with the 360 wireless wheel using the provided velcro. doesn't take up too much space when you're not using it. it wasn't very comfortable at first, but after adjusting it a bit, it's pretty comfy now. i sit in it even when i'm playing non-racing games. assembly isn't very difficult and it comes with all the needed tools.
Great Product

Very comfortable and can take your gaming to the next level. The wheel mount is stable and secure with very little (if any) wobble. Everything is fully adjustable to suit your most comfortable position. I am about 6'2" and have no problems fitting into the seat and there is still length to spare in the foot pedal adjustment. If I may be a harsh critic, the only area which could see improvement is the incorporation of some lateral adjustability in the foot pedal rest. I use an Xbox 360 wheel and the pedals could be slightly more comfortable if they could be moved to the right. The central post supporting the wheel nearly interferes with your right leg when you reach for the brake. Overall, I am very satisfied and will use this product for years to come.
Very Cool!

This thing works awesome and is built very well.
Nice and sturdy unlike the cheaper versions.
The price definitely reflects the overall quality.
It folds up nice and is very adjustable so it stores away pretty easy.
Playseats Evolution + Logitech Wheel + PS3 GT5 Prologue = Best Racing Ever!
Poor Quality Control
2008-06-16
As a fan of racing sims, my Playseats classic/Logitech Driving Force Pro combo has seen a lot of use. So, when I wanted to upgrade, the obvious choice was a Playseats Evolution and Logitech G25 (a popular combo here, it seems). The Evolution seems to be designed for the G25 - everything fit together beautifully, with much less wobble than the classic, and Playseats helpfully includes bolts for the wheel and pedals to eliminate wobble there as well.
However, I can't put the seat together, because someone at the factory broke off a drill bit while threading one of the holes - then decided to leave it there. I now have a nicely powder-coated fragment of drill bit that can't be removed. The seat is nothing but a pile of parts until I figure out how to get a replacement post. There's no phone number in the box, and their website lists contact info in the Netherlands.
This seems like an improvement on its predecessor in every way - but thanks to poor quality control, I wouldn't know.
Great Addition to any Racing Platform

The USA Evolution Playseat features a reinforced steel tubular construction that eliminates excess wobble and a high-quality vinyl seat cover with increased cushioning. The playseat has a unique folding design, making it easy to dissemble and store. It is adjustable to almost every game console/computer and steering wheel.
Great Cockpit for the Money!
2008-06-14
As an avid racing game fan, I always wanted a racing cockpit. I had looked at some in the past, but found them to be on the expensive side ($700+). Race Driver Grid was recently released so I purchased the Logitech G25 wheel from amazon and it was then I noticed the Playseat Evolution cockpit for an affordable price. I did a couple weeks of research, browsing various forums and tons of reviews to find the quality and opinion of others first; all of which were positive. I went ahead and ordered the seat and within a few days it arrived. It was packaged extremely well and installation was a breeze. After only a few minutes the chair was assembled and ready for the G25. Upon mounting the G25 I realized just how much the seat was configured for it. The package came with extra bolts that mount up through the bottom of the wheel and pedals and hold them securely. I then spent a little while directing the cables for the wheel around the bars with zip ties. The seat is extremely stable, comfortable, and really feels like an actual racing seat. It is fully adjustable so any size person can quickly set it to their height. I later ordered the shifter adapter and once installed that completely finished the cockpit off. The seat also can quickly fold down to a smaller size to be put away, another feature I really like a lot.
PLAYING GAMES:
Playing racing games in the seat has moved to a whole new level for me. The level of immersion and realism is outrageous. I ended up playing all kinds of games on the PC and PS3; Grid, Grand Turismo, Need for Speed Carbon, Most Wanted, TrackMania were all awesome to play. Even my old racing games felt completely new! Every single friend of mine that has come over to try it out claims it feels they're at GameWorks playing a massive arcade racing game. I definitely know that now I will be spending many many hours playing every new racing game released for quite some time. I highly recommend the seat to anyone who enjoys racing games. Also, make sure you purchase the shifter adapter, it really completes one hell of a cockpit.
This is just what I needed

I've always liked racing games but it's hard to play them with regular console joysticks. This time I decided to invest a little and purchase the Playseats Evolution with a Logitech steering wheel. Perfect combo! It's now way more fun to play my games.
Highly recommended.
Solid platform for racing games minus buttkicker
2008-05-27
The Evolution Gaming Seat is mostly what I'd hoped for: a solid, durable platform for my racing wheel and pedals. I have the Microsoft XBox 360 wireless wheel, and using lots of velcro (supplied with the seat) secured it perfectly. Playseats sells an extra adapter for mounting the wireless XBox 360 wheel, but you don't need it. That's the great news!
On the downside, I noticed during assembly that there is no post underneath the seat anywhere for mounting a ButtKicker BK-GR Gamer (which lets you feel vibration in the seat). It is on my list to purchase next, but I will have to come up with some sort of juryrigged way to attach it.
Quality and fun in one package

This is my first investment with anything close to a racing seat. The Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat is quality and comfort. From the minute you open the box you will realize the true quality that went into this top notch product. Fear not people who are large or small, short or tall. This amazing seat has an unbelievable amount of adjustments that makes it easy for anyone to fit comfortably in this chair.
Assembling is rather simple as there are only a few steps involved. Each part of this gaming seat is solid and well made to last for years. Once assembled the only difficult part is adjusting it. Now if you have a G25 wheel like me you will find this gaming seat is almost made perfectly for this. Everything part of the wheel is bolted in to make it extra secure. Sitting in the gaming seat is very comfortable. The racing seat is well made and contours well to the body.
Now obviously if you have a seat like this you will need a good quality wheel and I believe for any enthusiast that would be the G25 by Logitech. It's an excellent wheel that is this gaming seat was made for. Of course you will need the gear shift holder that doesn't come with this set. Amazon doesn't offer it but it is available.
In closing this is a great seat and it will last just about anyone for several years. Enough time to enjoy some great racing games on their favorite console or PC.
