This innovative talking blood pressure monitor helps two users keep their blood pressure in check. It also reads mean arterial pressure as well as pulse rate. Each user receives 60 memory worth of readings plus date and time stamp. The BPW810 features voice announcement and playback of blood pressure measurements for added convenience and has been designed to provide you with many years of reliable service. Readings are equivalent to those obtained by a trained observer using the cuff and stethoscope auscultation method. This product uses the Oscillometric Measuring method to detect your blood pressure. Before every measurement, the unit establishes a "zero pressure" equivalent to the air pressure. Then it starts inflating the wrist cuff to 180mmHg or higher until it senses that it has blocked your blood in the artery. After that, the deflation process starts, during which time the unit detects pressure oscillations generated by beat-to-beat pulsatile, which is used to determine the systolic, mean and diastolic pressure, and also your pulse rate.

Easy, inexpensive way to keep up on your health

I was told by my doctor to keep track of my blood pressure. Being a gadget guy I wanted it to also report to my computer. However, I am trying to be goof with money and only spend cash so I was a little restricted witht he money. This little unit stroes so much data that I can just carry it in to the doc and she can read it. The fact that it allows you to test at the forearm and not the bicept makes testing yopurself a lot easier.

readings are not accurate

Last week my father took his meter to the doctors office and they were getting manual cuff readings of 100/60 but the talking blood pressure cuff kept reading 130's/90's. This is too big of a difference to ignore.

I like the way the Monitor talk to you. But the reading was way off. I would git a very high reading so high I went to the doctors to git check out.When I got check out it was not high.So I went to the doctor just to fined out I was ok.I returnd the monitor .

This unit is great! I have tried a few others and this one is the most accurate.
