Excellent

I own a Sportster 4 which has the new, low power FM modulator so when I purchased this item I had low expectations but I was amazed that it works so great. I have used The SIRIUS FM Antenna Extension Cable and its instructions say to find a frequency with no station but I always got interference. This item, the Sirius Wired FM Relay, does what is supposed to do. I decided to try something as a test to see how good it really works. I set my radio on the most powerful FM station in my area and I set the modulator frequency to the same and it completely cancels out the over the air radio station with no static what so ever. Using a cassette adapter or a direct input cable are easier since you don't need to remove the radio to install them but if you do not have the option of a cassette player or direct input this unit works excellent.

It is truly the only way to interface your Sirius radio with your automobile radio. No interference. No wires hanging. Easy installation. Full transmission quality. Good price.
Why did I wait so long!!

Just installed this on my truck and all I can say is wow...What a difference
worth every penny.
A Must Have!!!!

If you have a Sirius satelite radio this is a must have. The FM transmitters are just lousy. Stay far away from them. This little puppy is a direct connection from your FM out in the back of your radio into the antenna in. Crisp uninterrupted sound at last!!!!!
This is the way to go...

This is the way to go if you don't have an AUX in on your car stereo. There is NO static and you have good sound. It was simple to install for me as well since I knew how to remove my radio and the antenna connection needed no adaptors.
Worth every penny

I got a Sirius radio for Christmas last year and originally installed it with the FM antenna. I really like the radio and the service, but since I drive around a lot for my job I was constantly messing around with my tuner trying to find the best reception. I bought the direct FM relay package in hopes of solving that problem, and it works wonders. Set the Sirius receiver to any station you want and it will override the FM signal from the strongest station with great sound quality. If for some crazy reason you tire of listening to Sirius, just turn the receiver off and your FM service resumes without missing a beat. All in all a great buy that I wish I had thought of when I first got the radio.

This item does what it says. I installed it between my Sirius Stiletto and my car stero. By having the "direct wired" connection (this item) it reduces virtually 99.99% of any FM static used when broadcasting via the FM remote to your car stero. I installed it myself - no problems. HIghly recommend to anyone using an "unwired" sirius product using the FM transmit mode.
Solid Connection - A Must!

This device is a MUST if the radio in the car you are installing the satellite radio does not have an external input jack accessible either on the front or rear. The other options provided such as the internal antenna extension of your car's existing antenna or any other "gimmicks" will NOT work. You MUST use this device to make a "closed" connection between the Sirius control head and your car's FM radio. Once connected (professional installation required), you will tune the Sirius control head and your car's radio to a "quiet" (inactive) FM channel in your area (information provided by Sirius or you can explore on your own). Once the two radios are in sync, you will hear crystal clear reception with NO static or other anamolies which exist with regular terrestrial radio! Also, all instructions tell you to mount the satellite radio antenna on the outside of your car and give explicit directions as to where, how, etc. I have found that you can install the antenna on the INSIDE of your car on the dashboard, in the corner of the windshield, where it is almost unnoticed. As long as the antenna can see the sky (and your windshield does not contain any space age treatments like heating elements, sun glare deflectors or any other "things" which could block the satellite signal) you are good to go. The exterior mounting of the antenna while the best for optimum signal reception also presents other issues such as potential theft or auto break-in as you are announcing you have a satellite radio system in your car, the car's paint finish can be marred if the antenna shifts (this can happen if you go through a car wash) or if someone tries to lift it off the car (theft, curiosity, etc.). So, all of these issues go away if you place the antenna inside the car. I personally put the antenna (which is the size of a silver dollar) in the left corner of the windshield and ran the wire through the plastic molding and under the dash, carpeting, etc. to the rear of the Sirius radio control head. A nice, neat installation with NO wires showing and the antenna is barely noticeable! With the control head connected to my car's Delco AM / FM / CD radio via this device, the sound is studio quality, noise free and a joy to listen to! Of course, you will experience occasional "drop-outs" when you go through obstructions like heavy foliage (trees), underpasses, tunnels, etc. but these are TEMPORARY / MOMENTARY inconveniences and the satellite signal is RAPIDLY re-acquired as soon as you clear them. I can't say enough good things about the Sirius experience - many choices, great listening pleasure and cool radios - I got the Sportster 5 myself which is the latest and is a way cool device. Sirius and XM will merge soon and I am sure prices are going to go up so do yourself a favor and get on-board now BEFORE the merge and anticipated monthly subscription fee increase. Right now, depending on what plan you take, your cost can be as little as $[...] per month and you get free online computer access to Sirius as well, so you can listen while at home or work or away on vacation! One final consideration: visit [...] for literally dozens of mounting options for your satellite radio and any other devices you have in your car such as GPS, radar / laser detectors, etc. They have a mount for just about every conceivable device and location in a car where it could go. I chose the "cupholder" mount with its 5 inch pedestal. It holds the Sirius control head at an angle and looks real sharp (especially at night). Check them out for many more options and once your installation is complete, enjoy the music from "the Big Dog in the sky" as Cousin Brucie says!

I'm a Do-It-Yourself kind of person (saves money) so this was a no-brainer. I wanted better & dependable reception for the Sirius radio so I installed this kit.
It is a straight-forward installation, although I had to go to Circuit City & buy an antenna adapter for my Buick Rendezvous. All in all, I'm happy with it and plan on purchasing another one for the 2nd car.
