overall good 2008-06-17
Overall good, no problems like a few others have had. My one issue is that it is a bit hard to move the hold key with it, but not impossible.

great case 2008-03-29
this is a great case for a 2nd gen iPod. My daughter likes to clip it to her belt loop or purse or whatever she happens to have, and it works really well. The plastic case also keeps the iPod safe from bumps.
I would recommend this product.

Highly Recommended 2008-02-08
This is a great case. Protects all parts of nano and is recommended for the second generation nano by the official ipod website. This is the best cover for my ipod ever!!! You can still reach all ports on the ipod while this case is on it. Fantastic!

Works Great 2007-12-30
Personally I don't like cases for my iPod's. But if you want them to last they need to be protected. And this is good case for that. It's tough and very protective. But the carabiner is crap, so just pitch that and get your self a good one at the hardware store.
While it protects, it preserves the looks of my wife's red iPod nano (2nd gen).
Be sure to read the one star reviews, and then buy one of these you won't be sorry and you will be informed.

Cool looking protection 2007-12-29
This is a VERY nice Nano protector. Got it for my daughter and she loves it - doesn't use the carabiner clip though (thinks it's kinda dorky). One note of caution for buyers - she plugs her Nano into a desktop set of speakers, but this case prevents the connector on it from fully engaging to play....she has to remove the Nano from the case to use the desktop unit (Logitech AudioStation). It might not be a problem with other speakers, but something to consider. It's a bit of a hassle for that, but I think it's a minor inconvenience compared to the protection that this case offers for the Nano. I'd recommend this case to anyone.

I love this case! 2007-12-18

Does not work with iPod Nano 4GB! 2007-12-05
This case would not close with my nano 4GB. The spec should clearly state that it is only intended to work with thinner ipods.

A quick fix for ipods that rattle in this case... 2007-11-17
I read a lot of reviews of people complaining that the case is slightly too large for the ipod and therefore the ipod rattles in the case. Here's an easy fix for this if you aren't using the carabiner clip:

When you put the little plastic tab into the top of the front half of the case to block the hole the carabiner was to use, don't push the tab in all the way. Push it in far enough so it doesn't fall out, but don't push it in till it's flat with the top of the case. Then put your ipod in, you might have to force it in gently, because the little plastic tab will be a bit in the way. For the record, this has not scratched the top of my ipod and I have taken it in and out many times. Now your ipod is secure and will not rattle because the little plastic tab is jammed right along its' top and holds it firmly in place.

Hope this helps those of you who have this problem. I think the case is fantastic, I love that it's clear and thin, it looks stylish, feels good in the hand, and yes, it does get scratched - but it keeps my ipod looking as new as the day I bought it.

The case that can't keep up 2007-11-15
I always wondered why users would house their iPod in cases that hide the color, are often at least as big as the iPod itself, and that scuff the iPod anyway while it is in the case. For this reason, I didn't use one with my red 8GB nano, and for 3 months I wrapped the headphones around the case and kept it in my coat pocket. A month ago, my coat got stepped on, and the earbuds dented the back of the casing, stopping the screen from displaying data. I spoke to a Genius, who recommended an acrylic case to protect my new refurbished iPod. So I looked for the smallest one that still showed the color of the iPod, and purchased the Belkin F8Z130. The first thing I noticed was that there was extra room in the housing, which means that over time the inside of the case would rub on the outside of my iPod. I had seen this happen on a friends iPod. The Belkin case looked nice and clear right out of the box, and the clickwheel covering worked well, although often I hit the center button when trying to pause. Also, the hold switch is somewhat difficult to reach. As others have said, the case allows for only stock Apple headphones (without modification). After using the case for 2 weeks (usually keeping it in my coat pocket), the front of the case is so scratched up with tiny scratches that it is difficult to read the screen through the case. For comparison, the actual screen (and casing) on my crushed iPod had NO scratches on it after 3 months, even after the earbuds dented the back. I got slightly less than what I expected from this case--better protection from crushing at the cost of being twice as thick, slightly more difficult to use, and much less pretty.

looks nice and functional 2007-11-02
Used this case for ~6 months, no complains. Looks pretty and works with my connectors. I like the key ring as well. Good buy.
