Everyone need to purchase this flashlight!!!!!
2008-05-28
Every time I needed a flashlight, I found it in each room. This product serves as a rechargeable night light & emergency flashlight. Each light bulb consume only 0.35W of electricity. This product will make a great gift for everyone.
Works as advertised-

After ordering another device that was supposed to turn on light if the power went out and did not work, I was naturally gratified that this product works as advertised. I would like for the LED power failure light to be a little brighter.
Mighty fine gadget

We bought some of these lights to use at work and I liked them so much that I bought several to use at home. They idle at less than one Watt each, so there's not much reason not to have all of them plugged in and running. My wife objects to the functional styling and to what she calls the "blue" light that they emit. The light is actually a nice daylight white color, but our eyes are trained to expect night lights to be a cozy, warm, yellow-orange color, so these will appear blue in comparison until your eyes get retrained. They are pretty decent little flashlights, too. It would be nice if they didn't cover both receptacles when plugged in to an outlet, but I don't see any way around it. Highly recommended
Works well, could be improved

This light works well but I would like it better if it didn't block both outlets. The automatic night light and power outage features work well. The flashlight is bright but is really more of a flood light, the beam doesn't go very far.
Some possible quality control issues

I purchased 3 of these and 1 has failed as a night light but the flashlight still works. The 3 LED flashlight is quite bright and useful so I'm keeping the failed unit for the flashlight. The light blocks the other plug which is a minor annoyance and the LED night light is overly bright for my taste when it works. A worthy concept however at a reasonable price. I might try the Sentina Emergency Smart Light available at Amazon since the flashlight claims to work longer, 8 hours versus 3 for this one.
GREAT product

The Sylvania Power Failure Light offers bright LED illumination during power failures. It is always charging while plugged in. When it senses a loss of power, the LED night light automatically comes on to light your way for up to 3 hours while still in the outlet. Or, take it out and use it as an LED flashlight. You'll never get left in the dark.
Just what I was looking for

This does it all. I am a new mom and just put one in my little girl's room for convenience and safety. I especially like the fact that I will have light in her room should the power go out. The flashlight is a great feature and you do not have to worry about it being charged.
Great Item

I love this item, I have four and all work perfectly, I even use them as flashlights from time to time. The greatest feature is that a light shines down as well as up. The only slight drawback is that they use one plug and blocks the other.
A "must have" item

I have three of these and I love them. The flashlight is of a useful brightness and the emergency light aspect will be worth its weight in gold the next time my power goes out at night. I'd been looking for these without success. Unfortunately I didn't find them until a day or two after our power went out for five hours the other night and they would have been really handy. :-( My neighbor has some and he said the flashlights ran the whole time the power was out without a problem.
The night light may be too bright for Movie Man, but I think it's just right. The plug is not polarized, so you can point the night light portion up or down, and I do both. Up in the kitchen and master bathroom, and down in the hall. The one in the hall is perfect for illuminating the hall at night so I don't need to turn on the light just to walk down the hall.
Absolutely a five-star product in my opinion.
Price tip: These are a little cheaper at Wally World and my neighbor says he got a 3-pack for even less per light at Sam's Club.
Night Light Too Bright
2007-04-10
As a power failure light, this product is excellent. However; the attached "night light" is much too bright for a night light. I had to used colored tape to cover the bulb housing to dim the light some. Otherwise, a fine product.
