This is a brand new Cherry Finish Cedar Chest. This will make a wonderful piece in your home. Also, makes a wonderful house warming gift. This Cherry Finish Cedar Chest is made to look antique with wooden hand made finishing. The Cherry Finish Cedar Chest comes in one complete large box. The size of the Cherry Finish Cedar Chest is about 18" inches in Height, about 42" inches in Width, and about 16" inches in Depth.

Misleading description.

Do not be taken in by the description of this product. This "handmade cedar chest" is made out of plywood not hardwood and is only lined on the inside with cedar wood. It may be handmade as is described but it has very clear "Made in Taiwan" markings. I may be hopelessly naive, but it is not what I expect from an item described as "handmade". It also required assembly. The nice moldings that can be seen on the picture are only glued onto the plywood panels. Because one of them became unglued during shipping, the front panel of the chest I bought has deep scratchings that damage the admitedly formerly nice cherry finish. This chest is barely worth the asking price of $200 (after addition of the $50.00 shipping costs), I cannot imagine how it could be worth the $630 price tag supposedly asked before reduction. I deeply regret not going for one of the cheap cedar chests also available on Amazon that do not pretend to a better quality than they are made of.
