Worth it.

I enjoy the Sims games but don't get many expansion packs. Seasons is worth it as it seems to add a whole new Sims game. I got tired of the same green neighborhoods and it's nice they change with the season - the snow is especially pretty.
Expansion Pack adds new aspects of playability

I like this expansion pack for the spontaneous interactions it causes. Make sure to patch it right away at [...] as it has many many glitches. Do keep an eye on your kids to make sure all that jumping on the bed doesn't get them overheated and taken away by the social worker. Poor Sydney and Perth Aha.
The BEST expansion pack available for your Sims 2

The others reviewers have completely described the additional fun things your Sims will get to do after you install Seasons. So, I won't go into that. I have all the other expansions installed and by far Seasons is the best expansion. If you're debating getting this one or Bon Voyage-- get Seasons! I love the Plant Sims- the babies are sooo easy to take care of (NO POTTY TRAINING! YAAA!) and you can later turn them into regular Sims.
Yes, this does eat up a lot of memory so make sure you have at least 80% of your memory left after installing or it will be a bit slow loading. I haven't had any problem with graphics, but you should double check the requirements before purchasing.
The only problem I have with Seasons is that once in awhile it looks like the green house roof is leaking and making my plants sick. I'm probably missing something, but that does get a tad annoying.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have even installed Bon Voyage, I'd have just stuck with Seasons...
Sims2 seasons is SO much fun!

It actually goes through the seasons, spring/summer/fall/winter. It will actually rain/snow ect. They can go outside & build a snowman/make a snow angel ect. It's more realistic & fun.
More Realistic

It really makes the game more realistic with the seasons and rain and snow and hail and thunderstorms and just so much. It is pretty cool!

I have this expansion pack for the Sims 2 series. No Sims 2 Collection is complete without a single expansion pack. The best part about this pack is the changing seasons that the game simulates. I like the Spring and Summer seasons myself with the rain and thunderstorms. If your thinking of buying this pack for your Sims 2 collection, go for it because it gives the game that extra boost in gameplay. One of my family members said that they wanted it for their collection thus I bought it again.
I expected more...

So as with The Sims 2 Pets, this expansion to me does not add up to the lag time and bugs it can give your Sims 2 program.
Overall, I like the idea and I really do like watching the weather change, but the whole thing of having to change your clothes to go out in the rain and also getting struck by lighting so often?? What the heck is with that anyway??
To me, it is a fun idea but not the best execution of it, and normally I love Sims games and the expansions, but this one and Pets, both I was disappointed with overall.
Many great additions to the Sims2. What did I do without this?

I love this expansion -- this is my favorite expansion so far.
Besides the obvious addition of seasons, this expansion is PACKED with goodies. First of all, building tools. You can build roofs diagonally now. If you're a big Sims2 builder you'll love that. You can build greenhouses so you can grow all year round and avoid pests. You can now have different tiles in the pool walls, and make them curved. There's a pool slide too (I know I've been wanting that for a while now).
Now for my new favorite activities.... YOU CAN FISH IN PONDS on your sims' lots, and then you can sell, eat, or mount your fish on the wall! You can grow vegetables and fruit, and sell or eat this also. It even has varying nutritional content that can boost your Sims' learning potential. But beware.. spend too much time in the garden and you might become a plant sim... complete with green skin and plant-like hair.
Leaves fall from trees, snow comes and goes, sims bundle up to go outside or get sunburned in the sun. This expansion doubles the fun of Sims 2 and I highy recommend it.
Fun add-on, but as usual, not worth the cost

I think this is one of the better expansion packs for the Sims 2 game as it adds more that just objects. But, I quickly found that my entire gameplay began to revolve around the seasons...a little too much. It was fun for about a weekend, but not worth the full price.
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

There is a reason why there are so may 5 star reviews, it is very difficult to find faults with this game because there is a lot to do, and opens up many windows of opportunities to the game that the other expansion packs just do not have. You can own your own vegetable, fruit garden and sell it profit or stock the items in your fridge or in the fruit machine thing. Making it cost effective, because you don't have to go to the grocery store a lot if you have fresh fruits and vegetables growing in the backyard. You can also fish, and cook the fish that you caught from the pond. there is a new terrain that comes with the game, some R name..cant remember it. But if you want to design your own backyard, and home you can go into any of the other neighborhoods and create anything you can imagine. You can even make a pond in your backyard , create some grass..its great! The seasons are so realistic, its amazing: snow, hail, rain, lightining storms, falling leaves etc..when it snows you can make a snow angel, and build a snow man and knock it down. buy a fireplace, and a hot chocolate machine and drink it in the snow time, its so fun, while watching the snow fall outside. when its autumn , leaves fall..and you have to rake them up, you can either deposit into the compost bin (used to fertilize vegetable crop), or you can just play around in the pile of leaves, its so cute. when it hails you get hit by golf sized pieces of ice. the lightning storms are scary. i remember when i first saw the lighting in the game and heard its sound effects, it made me jump up..lol.. I have only had the game for about 3 days but i love it. you can own fruit trees and harvest to later add to the fridge or stock in the juicer., or sell them ( you can do the same with the vegetable gardens as well) its a great way to make money and not having to go to work. you can even make beauty potions and juice drinks. i think there are more potions that you can make, but i haven't gotten far enough in the game to say.
Cons: its a little difficult to keep all of the plants happy, so dont put too many in your garden at first, its kind of time consuming because they always need some kind of attention: tending, spraying for bugs, or watering. You don't water the fruit trees at all, you just water the vegetable gardens. a tip for having a successful vegetable garden is to not over water it. just fertilize and plant them. and if they go brown water them. the game is realistic enough to rain and the plants can get the water they need that way.. there are a couple of glitches, but what EA game doesn't have them...they are kinda cheap that way..but whatever..may slow down the computer a little..
new features: water balloon fights, playing catch, saving leftovers, turning into a plant..with plant feature thing, you have the ability to talk to your garden and fruit trees if they are sick and that makes them healthy again. you want to make sure you have healthy garden if you want to make a decent living. if you sell bad produce or veggies..then the profit isn't so hot..hmm..what else...you can even have a plant baby..if you are stuck in the plant mode all you do is call the garden members and buy a potion to turn back to normal again. you keep cute little outfit..i'm sure there are more features but i haven't played long enough to realize them..i still have a long ways to go, but so far i LOVE this game. its so fun.
