I'd give it zero stars if I could!

I do NOT understand why anyone likes the Boppy for nursing. I am a pretty small woman (about a size 8) and I found that the donut-hole in the middle was so small it buckled in the front when I tried to put it around my waist. Not only that, but it really needs to sit around the hips in order to be low enough to rest the baby on -- and that never worked, it just kept riding up to my waist. And because it's so round and puffy, I had to use just as much muscle to keep my baby from rolling away from me as I would have to hold him up! I tossed it in the closet and used regular bed and couch pillows instead. Also, I couldn't use it in any chair with arms (like a rocker or a dining-table chair because the big fat arms of the Boppy got in the way of the arms of the chair.

Perfect for our twin granddaughters. Wish we had this when my kids were little! A must have for new Moms!!!!
Not great for nursing, but works well for tummy time

I did not care for this pillow when used as a nursing pillow, the pillow went all the way around my waist, making it impossible to sit back in the chair, causing back strain. Having to lean forward to nurse was not comfortable. This pillow is great for tummy time, I put my son in the pillow with his arms over the middle, the ends were under or over his legs and then I put toys in front of him to keep him entertained, at first he just looked at them, but as time went on he would reach for the toys. I had a Boppy when my daughter was little also, she used the pillow as a toddler to read and such. This is not a must have item.

I'm really happy I have this pillow. It is useful in other positions, such as the clutch position. The only problem I had was when my daughter was small she fell into the crack between my stomach and the pillow. It can be solved by rolling up a recieving blanket and putting it in that crack. Otherwise, I have been really happy I had this pillow.
Use it constantly 2008-08-12
I got this pillow as a baby shower gift, and I have used it constantly since my baby was born. I use it for nursing, to prop the baby up in a reclining position on the sofa or bed and for tummy time. My husband also uses it when holding the baby on his lap. It is one of the most useful baby shower gifts I received.

Not a nursing pillow. 2008-07-12
This pillow is great for sitting your baby on your lap or for letting him nap on your lap. It's even better to prop your baby up with for tummy time or to sit. It's not great however for nursing. I talked to a lactation consultant and found that the Boppy was NEVER designed to be a nursing pillow. It was terrible for my back. I couldn't get our baby aligned properly which was very stressful just starting out nursing. I had to prop pillows under both sides to try to get it right. At my lactation appointment they had a My Brest Friend pillow. This pillow is fantastic. It keeps the baby aligned properly with your breast. Which makes it so much easier to get your baby latched on correctly. I have a My Brest Friend at home and in my car for going out. I have been successfully nursing for going on 9 months now. I would never have gotten this far with the Boppy. Please, try the My Brest Friend instead.

Need a firmer pillow 2008-07-10
I have two boppy's -- a new one purchased for this baby and an older dual use one (from an earlier version of the EntertainMe(tm) Play Gym) and the older one is much firmer and better for nursing. I was hot during pregnancy, and hot during nursing, so sinking into the new boppy is just too much insulation! Also, I need the pillow to raise the baby off my lap so I'm not straining, and I found the new squishy boppy didn't do the trick. I'm now only using the older firmer one.
I haven't found the "stretch middle" to be all that necessary (despite having outgrown my XL maternity clothes during this pregnancy!) but I do like having covers so I can wash them when the bodily fluids get too much.
Just ok for me 2008-06-13
I had a boppy for my first and second child and each time I got a new one and each time they ended up flattening out quite rapidly. I agree with another that said the covers are nothing but aesthetic as they do not prevent stains and smells from seeping through.

Sure it's a little more pricey, but you're getting organic buckwheat hulls fill and organic cotton covering, which is really sturdy. You still have somewhat of the leak-through, but much less because the cover is textured and even when there is, the buckwheat hulls dry out quickly and don't retain smells. I love that it conforms to your body too. I've used it during my pregnancy and it's wonderful.
Ever try feeding twins by yourself? 2008-05-24
Ever try feeding twins by yourself? Just place two Boppys back to back and away you go. (See my picture in the gallery.) They also work great for positioning a baby on your lap for feeding, or for (supervised) lounging and tummy time. Boppys are an absolutely essential part of out daily lives. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
