Editorial Review
The 2-Port USB Audio KVM Switch lets you control multimedia PCs with just one keyboard, monitor, mouse, microphone, and a set of speakers. The KVM switch not only allows you to share your monitor, keyboard and mouse but you can also share microphone and speakers. With just a simple press of a button, this KVM switch eliminates the hassle of cable swapping and switching between 2 PCs. With it's Hot-Plug, Auto-Scan and Hot-Key operating features, the TK-209K is the perfect choice for managing 2 PCs.

Does the job well 2008-06-19
This product works great. I have two PC's linked by this item to one monitor, pair of speakers and mouse. Only complaint is that it is not attractive and not discreet! It has connections on all sides meaning that it has cables splaying out everywhere. That's why I give it four stars and not five. It's a keeper though because it does what it's meant to do and it does it well. I use the hot buttons on the keyboard to switch between PC's and it works smoothly. I recommend this product.

Does what it needs to do, pretty well. 2008-05-28
This switch does everything it is designed to do and it does it pretty well. All cables needed are included with the item and it is USB capable, which you have to have. It switches very fast between the 2 machines. I have one Mac hooked up and on XP machine hooked up. No problems using a USB keyboard and wireless USB mouse (Microsoft).

Only "issue" I could find is that all 4 sides have cables coming out of them. So you can't really put it on the desk because it doesn't stay well and lacks a clean look. Could have worked with the design a bit more, but again, not a big deal, I'm nitpicking. It's a good product and took no time to setup.

works great but ugly cables 2008-05-26
Worked right out of the box. No extra power supply needed. It does take a few secs to sync up. I am fine with it. LED light on top indicates the sync status.

I do use a wireless keyboard/mouse combo (1 USB) and that works fine too.

The video cable to the monitor comes from the side and makes it unsightly (the only drawback). They could have moved the cabling to the back. I have not connected the audio cables - and that connects to the other side. The unit itself is small : about 4 inches x 2 x 1. The PC switch button is on the top of unit and so the unit has to be placed within reach. Compare this with a belkin's model which had a wired extended cool-looking toggle button and the rest of the unit hidden away.

I see the price in Amazon has dropped to $25. That's a steal, considering you get the unit and all the needed cables.

Filled the Need 2008-05-25
We were short on desktop space and needed to connect a mini-Mac and PC to the same monitor, mouse and keyboard. This item did it well, with ease of setup. We have had it one month with no problems.

Almost perfect. 2008-05-18
I really like this thing. It is just what I needed for running 2 computers. It allows you to use one monitor, mouse, keyboard and set of speakers for 2 different computers. One of mine has XP pro and the other has Vista Premium and there were no problems. Simple to set up, just plug the keyboard, mouse, monitor and speakers into the switch then turn one computer on when the number one selector is on. Once it fully boots up switch to number two and turn that computer on and you are done!! Maybe 10 minutes at the most and your done. You have 2 switching options. One is a manual switch on the unit and the other is by tapping the scroll lock key twice. So cool. The only thing is I've noticed if you need to reboot one of the computers the switch can get confused as to which is one and which is two and get the commands confused so if you need to reboot one you just turn both off and repeat the step above of selecting one and turning it on then the other.
I would recommend this unit. Everything you need comes in the package. I'm very happy with it.

NOT MacMini or Mac laptop compatible 2008-07-20
After reading many reviews about this product, and read the description that said it is Mac compatible, I ordered one. When it arrived, I took it out of the box along with the cables, and lo and behold, I found it is NOT Mac compatible. It only comes with 2 VGA/USB male ended cables. I have an Acer AL2223W monitor which has both VGA and DVI-D inputs and cables; however, both my MacBook Pro and my Mac Mini only have DVI-D inputs. My old Mac PowerPC G4 had both VGA and DVI-D inputs. Too bad Apple didn't include this feature with their laptops and Mini.

Guess I'll have to return it and keep looking for something that will work.

USB KVM switch 2008-07-17
Product works great. Only problem is sometimes one of the computers has to have its video settings (screen resolution) re-adjusted. This unit replaced an IO KVM switch purchased from Amazon which wouldn't allow keyboards to work properly, even though 5 different keyboards were installed. This unit works great and I'm planning on purchasing another.

Save 20 bucks over Best Buys Price 2008-06-26
the TK-209K very easy to hook up! I would have gave 5 stars but when I turned on the 1st pc it did not show anything on my display just Black . so i unhooked this cable and my display said no signal. I turned off all power then power up again and still Black. then I just for the heck of it I swapped the monitor cables from each pc then powered up the 1st pc for the 3rd time and it came on then the 2nd pc and it worked and there is no sane reason that I can give why this happened ! Now it Work's GRRR-EET . So if the same thing happens you can try this and if there is any one out their can tell me why this can happen PLEASE LET ME KNOW thanks

Functions great, but coords could be longer and could use extra usb ports 2008-06-23
The device works without a flaw, and flows well between my laptop and desktop. There were three things that bothered me slightly. First, the cords could be a little longer. I have the switch on the top of my desk going straight down to my desktop. But the cord doesn't let me pull out the desktop very far to get to the back panel. Second, the device is too light compared to the cords, so it easily flies all over the place and falls behind the desk. Definitely need some velcro to hold it down. Third, it only has 2 usb inputs. So if you want to sure printer, external drive, etc. you need to attach a usb hub (which does work).

Worked like a charm, only one issue. 2008-06-21
I'm currently running a WinXP system and an Ubuntu system. Everything hooked up without any issues. I've only had one operating problem and it's the keyboard-based command (Scroll Lock x 2) doesn't work on the Linux side. It switches fine on the WinXP side but when I switch to the Linux side then back to the WinXP side, the Scroll Lock stays on. Not a bad issue but I have to have the switch at easy access to press the buttons. With all the cables coming out of it, it looks a little unsightly on the desk.
