Great Iron!

I love this iron so much that when I bought in Chicago years back, and I don't have access to it in the city I moved to, I had to find it on Amazon. It really helps to smooth without frizzies, and is easy to hold on to since it is smaller.
Poor Quality-Don't Buy

Within 30 days of buying, the paint is coming off of the inside. This means the paint comes off on my daughter's hair. Unsafe! Don't waste your time on this unit, very POOR quality.

I don't use a flat iron often, so didn't want to spend much on one. This iron worked great about 5 times, now it doesn't heat at all. The indicator light comes on, but no heat. The black coating also began flaking off after about 2 uses.

The first time I used the ceramic clamp flat iron hair the plates is broke. Was Painting !!!!!

I bought this appliance because it received good reviews. Well I used it three times and the coating from the inside started flaking off. It would stick to my hair and was a pain to remove. Once the coating comes off, it doesn't slide down the strands smoothly and will pull at your hair.
I won't buy this brand again. I guess you get what you pay for.

it's ok for the price

No its outstanding but it gets the job done. I had a chi and had a problems with the lack of heat settings, This one has 20 heat settings but its highest is not as hot as the chi which I like but other people might not. The black coating started to chip after about 3 month and once that happens it begins to snag on your hair. I'm about to retire it and get another one with no coating so that I don't have to worry about chipped coating. But I will miss the fact that it's soooo pretty.

I had got this in the mail, and i used it for the first three days, and it was great! Then on the fourth day it took an hour to heat up and even then it wasn't full heat. I had to use my sisters. Take my advice, don't buy this. If you really want to get a good straightener, go and buy a conair or revlon.
Worked well, but cheap materials 2007-09-01
I first bought this flat iron almost 6 months ago. I opened it from the package, and pieces broke off from where the on and off switch is. I returned it and got a replacement. The flat iron worked great until the same piece broke off again on the second flat iron.
CHIPPING!!!??? 2007-08-29
I loved the product when I first got it, it was very attractive and sleek but as soon as the second use it started to chip and by the third usage almost all the black coating came off!?!?! I really had high expectations but this was a let down. Even though it looks great you'll regret buying this once it chips.
