Dont buy for boys!

I'm going to list the problems I found:
- It slides on the tile when my son tries to sit on it. It says non-slip?!
- When he does manage to back up to it he stops when his heels hit the base and sits. He ends up sitting only on the front. The hole seems to far back.
- The blue cushy part is small. In an addition his little boy parts dont fit the shield area.
- As an alternative I removed the cushy part. When you remove the cushy part there is an inch lip on the plastic bowl where it fits, I'm sure that lip doesnt feel good on the back of his thighs. Then its almost like hes sitting INSIDE the bowl.

Seat is comfy but ABSORBS URINE!

This seat gets points for comfort. My son would not sit on a hard seat. However, I just went to clean the cushion ring. It is FULL of AMMONIA from the urine. I cannot get it out. My son had a rash on his bottom. I thought it was from the disinfecting cloth that I was using to wipe down the seat and potty. Turns out he was getting an ammonia burn! Gadzooks! Why is the ring not impermeable to liquids??? I am throwing it away. We'll switch to a vinyl soft toilet-mounted seat.

We bought this potty seat a while ago and my son has used it for about 6 months. Although is it study and has a soft cushy seat, you can not completely clean the cushy seat. We clean out the seat everytime our son uses it, but eventually water will seep into the cushion and start to smell. We have sanitized, bleach, etc. you name it we have tried. No I have to buy another seat, wish I would of started with a different one.

Easy to Use

We have a 2 yr old daughter who found this potty very easy to use. She liked that she could lift the lid herself and found the size just right. The cleaning (which we do a lot) is easy and just takes a little wash in the sink. We have put the bowl in the dishwasher a couple of times for a deeper cleaning. We have found it very easy to use and very helpful!

Great for girls.....

I have no idea why this potty has only 2.5 stars. I have an almost 3 year old girl who weighs 33 pounds and I have been very happy with this product. First, my daughter could not get used to the "guard thingie" that juts up on the baby bjorn potty. She would constanly hit herself on it. This potty is designed with girls in mind so that parents have the option of not having the guard. Second, I like the cooshie seat. My daughter will sit on the potty for a long time comfortably. We have never had a problem with the potty absorbing her waste. Lastly, it is easy to clean. My daughter can now empty and replace the potty herself. I would highly recommend this product.

Great Potty

This is a great potty. My daughter loves it and it works really well. It's comfortable and easy to use. I am purchasing another one for our downstairs bathroom. I only give it 4 stars because it does slide around on the floor a bit when she gets off/on, but it doesn't stop her from getting down to business.

too small!!!!!

I bought this for my son when he was 15 months old (and he is small for his age), and he is too big for this potty! If he sits down on it, his privates don't make it under the shield. You have to set him on it at an angle, and pull the shield back....not good for last minute emergencies!!

Way to small

This potty chair is way to small. I just bought it for my 2yo and there is no way he can use it. I am returning it. The idea seemed good but the seat is way to small.

This is my first attempt at Potty training, my son is 2.5yrs old. I LOVE this potty chair. I love that it's easy to clean, all you do is remove the cushion part and lift the pot up and out of the chair and dump into the toilet! So easy for a child to help with as well. Like PP said, no hard nooks and cranny's to clean.

It's very comfortable for my son and he doesn't mind sitting on it for a while.

The shield isn't the largest but all the books say not to use a shield anyways since their parts can get hung up on them and hurt them. So the fact that it's small and very soft is great! Not to mention it's not removable so my son who likes to take things apart can not take the shield off. I have an insert for the toilet and he would always push the shield attached to the insert INTO the toilet! YUCK!! No problem like that with this chair!

I strongly recommend this chair, I think it's perfect and have had NO problems with it! Great price too!!
