mp3 charger

I really love my creative zen v charger. My creative zenv had completely died. I thought it was broke. It wouldd not charge up using the usb cable hook up to the computer. Meanwhile, I had order this charger and thought I was going to have to send it back. I hook it up and it charged. I was too happy because nothing else had work. I let it die again and it didn't seem to want to charge so I use the car charger that came with it to see what happen, it charged. The light came on so I took it back in the house and plug the charger up again. I love and it came right on time for me to listen to it on my way out of town for Xmas.

This product makes it much easier and quicker to charge our MP3's. Also nice to be able to charge in the car while traveling.
It Doesn't Work

The wall charger does not work. I used the cigarette lighter adapter charger once and didn't seem to work. Spend more money to get a charger that works.

The Home Travel Wall charger seems erratic; when it's plugged in the battery icon on the Creative Zen V Plus fluctuates as if there was something wrong. The rapid cigarette lighter adapter charger seems to work well.

Wall charger broke right away 2008-07-12
Used the wall charger once (it worked), then went to use it a second time and the connector (at the end of the cord that connects to mp3 player) was broken and wouldn't attach to mp3 player (wouldn't insert far enough). Metal connector slides in/out of plastic housing. Was finally able to insert it, but only with using pliers to grip it tightly after pulling the metal connector all the way out. I should have known you get what you pay for. This set cost so little I might just throw out the wall charger.

I bought this adapter and used it and it ruined my player. I contacted the company and got no response. Avoid this product!

This product charges the Zen Player in half the time , it works very good and I would recommend it .. The car charger works just as good also..
One Component Works, One Doesn't 2008-01-29
I should have paid attention to the reviewers who indicated problems with the wall charger in this set. I plugged my Creative Zen V Plus into the charger last night and it seemed to be working. After several hours it had not charged fully, which was strange because the battery wasn't really down that low. When I disconnected the player from the charger, the Zen V went into recovery mode. I reset several times and tried all the options in the recovery menu. After multiple attempts to re-install firmware, my PC froze and I had to go into task manager to end the install. Then my player suddenly booted up and started working. I am extremely aggravated about this for several reasons:
1. Amazon should NOT describe a product as being "from Creative labs" if it will not work with Creative products.
2. The charger clearly caused problems with my player. I have only had the player for a week, and now I am nervous about further problems, especially since I'm not sure the final firmware install completed as it should have.
3. Several hours worth of work was lost since I had to reload everything onto my player.
The car charger seems to work, although I have only used it once. Now I will be holding my breath each time I try it.
I should have known not to take the cheap way out, but I expect that a product associated with Creative labs should at least not destroy my player. Shame on you Amazon!
