THis is a great value for the money. I looked at reviews up here before I got the phone and I am glad that I made this purchase.

Black Wall Phone

Wall phones are becoming "rare birds".
My old one finally expired and I began the search for a replacement, not realizing what an adventure it would be.
This Panasonic phone fit the bill; price was great but not a factor at all in making the decision.
It mounted on the wall in the kitchen, and it's unobtrusive look makes it blend in easily.
And, by the way, it works very well and is easy to use.
I have saved the extra handset to be used as a replacement, should the first one wear out ... a nice bonus at such a low price.
what happened to Panasonic?

I purchased these phones to replace my old V-tech phones. I've trusted the name Panasonic for quality. These phones are not up to the Panasonic standard I grew up with.
The sound quality is not as good as it should be, voices sound "tinny". The battery doesn't hold a charge. After a 5 minute conversation, it has to recharge. The phone feels shabby, no weight to it.
I should've stuck with V-tech. Live and learn.
Panasonic KX-TG6022B Cordless Phone

This is an excellent cordless phone system and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't need an answering machine on their phone.
Where I work, I am in charge of the phones and we have a guard shack that is about 800 feet from the nearest phone jack, it would take several thousand dollars to have it wired (in ground) and since there is traffic in between and no poles to put the wires up I suggested a cordless phone.
After charging the handsets, I plugged in the base and took the handsets and the changer to the guard shack, since the base is line of sight (the base is in the window of one of the offices facing the guard shack), it works great. Also since we have Audix here, we did not need an answering machine, so this unit worked out perfect and has been working for about a month now without any issues.
This unit replaced a Panasonic unit I first installed to save from having to do the wiring (an older 5.8GHz system with answering machine), everytime we had a power outage, when the power came back on, the phone's answer function turned on by default, so some one needed to remember to turn it off. Since the batteries are now over two years old they haven't been keeping a charge, so instead of ordering two new batteries, I purchased this phone system and haven't had a complaint yet.

Item arrived quickly and was in perfect condition (although, could have done without the super sticky barcodes).
Great Look, Feel, and Sound
2008-06-28
I LOVE THESE PHONES!
1) Great look and feel. They are made of a solid material that feels great in your hands. Lightweight and nice "millenium" shape. Two tone, darker brown face and black backing. Visual appeal is a big criteria for me so they passed the test with flying colors. Drawback is no key light up in dark. But the faceplate is easy to read. Also you can use the two handsets as intercom.
2) Great sound. NOW I do get interference and have bought an adapter, but still get it. I think it has more to do with the hot weather here in Tucson AZ. I had the same problem with old phone, which had no interference until we got really hot weather. Also there is Voice Enhancer technology which makes voices sound better.
3) Speakerphone on handset is great and a big plus. Also conference calling.
4) Phone lights up with voicemail also lets you know when you have voicemail. You can also program different ringtones and voicemail dial right in.
5) Numbers are easy to add. Can add direct from caller id. Contrary to what other reviewer said, IF YOU READ THE MANUAL, it is easy to transfer phone book from one phone to another. I've done it.
6) It will also take a headset which i plan to use. i do alot of phone work and that was a must. It is a feature rich phone which had all the features I was looking for. Has a nice ringer sound as well.
7) Easy intuitive interface. Keeps list of last 5 calls which you can use to dial or program phonebook. User manual well written.
I love Panasonic products. I bought a Panasonic boom box in 80s which has great sound and is still going. I bought a mini-stereo Panasonic which has great look and sound. My last phone was a Toshiba which is still going after 5 years but not digital. You can't go wrong with Panasonic. They have great technology. And I have two handsets which is nice as well.
No doubt about the sound quality of Panasonic phone
2008-06-09
I first bought a set of Simens cordless phones before this one, because Simens always creates such attractive appearance of their products. Honestly, I was just loving watching the phone sitting in my living room. However, after two-week trial I had to give it up because of the sound quality, noisy and far away, even though it still looked pretty... No matter how time changes it's always a fact that Parasonic produces the "best" sound quality of their phones.
Nice phones

These phones are easy to use, easy to hear, and have speaker phone. It is also very easy to hear when your are on speaker phone. They also have an intercom function so that you can use one hand set to call the other.
This is not the model with the answering machine if you are looking for that. We have voicemail with our phone service though and it alerts us to that with a flashing light.
Good sound quality, but a couple things drive me nuts
2008-05-17
Overall, the sound quality is good, so I have no complaints about that. There are two things about this phone that drive me absolutely nuts. First is the phonebook feature. It is a bit of a hassle to enter numbers and names into the phone book of the phone. Once the names & numbers are in one phone, I have not found a way to get them to automatically sync with the other phone. So, it is a bit of a game of "find the phone that has the phonebook" when I want to dial using the phonebook feature. Second is that the product didn't come with a belt clip. I purchased two headsets so that I could go hands-free and do chores around the house while on the phone. Without a belt clip, I may as well forget using headsets (separate purchase).
