Nice phone, couple of drawbacks 2008-03-03
This phone is actually very good. I prefer Panasonic cordless over others for several reasons, most of which is experience. I had a couple primary requirements for my next phone:
1 - could not interfere with Wireless Network
2 - could "chain dial" (i.e. dial after call already connected, such as entering a pre-programmed pin number)
3 - integrated answering machine
Obviously because I purchased this, it does meet these requirements so far for me. I'm running a wireless-G network, and I have tried to break it with this phone, and there so far has not been a hiccup.
The chain dialing was important because of calling cards we use and pins. I couldn't find any other phones that said they could do this. My old Panasonic that I'm replacing was a lot easier though. This one can do the cahin diailing, but it requires two more key strokes and a little more intuition to do so.
The range and clarity on this phone is excellent. The charging stations are compact and do the job as they are suppose to (I had a problem with my last Uniden where if the phones were not "perfectly" placed in the charger they would not make contact and charge - you would think this would be easy or an engineer to accomplish, but....).
I'm convinced there is not a perfect cordless phone out there, after do way more research than I should have to in order to ultimately choose this phone. That said, this phone also has these drawbacks:
- Volume - the handset volume is somewhat quiet even at it's highest setting (not the ringer, I'm talking about the ear speaker)
- Answering machine does not have a LED display of how many messages
- No speed dial - there is a phone book, but no speed dial where you can hold a button down or with two button strokes dial a memorized number.

Would I recommend this - absolutely. As I said there is no perfect cordless phone out there. Would I spend $100 for this phone - No. Wait for it to go on sale, it is worth &75 give or take.

Panasonic Phone System 2008-02-27
I bought this system for my elderly parents. They don't have to worry about trying to get to the one phone they had in the house. Now, they have one in the kitchen, living room and bedroom. My mother has a slight hearing problem, and the "slow talk" feature works great for her. This was an excellent choice.

Great Phones 2008-02-08
I bought these phones because they don't interfere with my wireless network. They are good phones for the price. The sound quality is good. Good features are the ability to use as an intercom and the talking caller ID. Two (very minor) complaints about the answering machine; there is no audible beep when there is a message and hang-up calls are recorded.

so far so good 2008-01-23
I got this item January 2nd, so far no complains,I like color, style and design.Sound is clear, ring is loud enough.Easy to use. The only thing I don't like this phone does not display the number of missed calls until you pick up a receiver and toggle the pad to display them.

NICE phones! 2008-01-14
I bought this phone system to replace our 5 yrs old Panasonic 2.4 GHz phones. I'm so glad for the purchase. The phones are much lighter than my old ones, and without the antenna sticking out. Love the different ring tones you can choose for individual callers. Also love the way that it announces the caller so I don't have to rush to the phone. BJs warehouse sells the same set w/the same price so of course I'd buy it from Amazon.

Very pleased with these phones 2008-07-04
These phones look, feel and sound great, and have a lot of functions. A very good price for a good quality phone.

A good phone system 2008-04-28
I am very happy with my phones, however,I need greater volume on the ringer. I tried an amlified ringer to place between the jack and the base w/the answering machine and it blocked the caller ID, answering machine and the ringer. Do you have an amplifier that would work with my phones?

Panasonic 5.8 Ghz Phone/Answerer 2008-04-26
We already had a single Panasonic 5.8 Ghz cordless phone that we were very pleased with. As some of our older cordless phones began "dying", we decided to replace them with this set, and have been well satisfied with it!

Very clear sound 2008-04-04
I have had the phone for about a month now. Very satisfied with the product. One reviewer had mentioned an issue with low volume. I agree that the audio volume is not super loud but the sound is so clear that the loudness is not an issue. I want to emphasize that the volume is adequate. Great range great sound quality for the speaker phone and the intercom feature is very usefull too. Overall a great looking product that works very well.

very satisfied 2008-03-16
Its exactly what we wanted. we haven't tested its range yet, but it does everything we need it to do. very nice.
