I just got mine yesterday, so I can't speak about long term - but I have to say, very impressed so far. Extremely fast, bright screen - Windows Vista seems to be pretty good too. Programs run and install smoothly, no error messages - I had a Toshiba laptop previously and it's interesting to see all the improvements they've made. It's a lot lighter -I would still be careful handling them though, they're fragile. One thing I didn't realize - no disk drive attached. Also, Microsoft Word/Office is not included, except a trial version. But for the price, I don't think you can beat this. I needed the RAM and hard drive space because I'm a working musician, and I think this is a great product. If anything changes, I'll write more here.

I love this laptop. It has everything I need.2Gb RAM with T2250.
Maybe the best one. (price/benefit).

A good product but for one thing. It comes installed with Vista, but the video card is not quite powerful enough to handle the OS properly.

I loved my laptop for the 1st month. Then the Mother Board went. I took it into the the authorized repair shop. The part is backordered, and it's almost a MONTH now! I've been trying for several weeks to talk to Toshiba's customer relations people. I only get the gatekeepers. I'm very frustrated.
I will update this, when it gets resolved.
Update, Neber did hear back frpom Toshiba customer service! Amazon helped out and now they have a customer for life and Toshiba had lost one. BTW, HP customer support has been great.
Had to send the first one back but no prob with 2nd

The first one the think pad stopped working after 2 weeks.....Amazon was great at returning the first one.... so far nothing has happened wiht this one... wondering if it was a Vista issue not really the computer.

This is a robust and powerful laptop at a really good price. I have owned several other laptops in the past few years and I have to say that this is the best deal quality/price so far. Probably the best thing in this laptop is the new Windows Vista OS. It's amazing!!.
T2250 Processor supports only 32bit window.

The T2250 processor in this computer is Core Duo. I would prefer Core 2 Duo over this one. Because this computer doesn't support 64bit windows vista. There is lots of junk (Trialware) installed on this laptop and Vista CD is not provided along with the system means if anything goes wrong you can only use the recovery CD.
