Great Family Movie

Great DVD. Amazon delivered this dvd on time (Before the expected date), in great condition and kept me posted from the time it left them, to the time it was put into my Mailbox. Highly recomend, and definatly will be shopping with Amazon agan.

Harry is a good hearted family film

This is one of many movies made during a time when Hollywood was trying to make some family friendly movies. Movies like Beethoven, Honey I Shrunk the kids, Little monsters, batteries not included, etc. They were all for the most part successful in there purpose, to create family entertainment.

For some reason Harry and the Hendersons has kind of fallen through the cracks and is not talked about in the same conversation with the others, and for the life of me I don't know why. It really is a good movie.

John Lithgow plays the father in this film and does a good job. Up to this point in his career he was mostly the bad guy,(raising cain, ricochet, cliffhanger, Santa Clause), so to see him as a good father in a comedic role is refreshing. He does a great job. Later you see him really use that part of his acting spectrum in the TV series, 3rd Rock from the Sun, but this is where it all begins for Lithgow.

Orene Anderson is very funny, and Don Ameche plays a great supporting role.

FOr the families looking for a good dvd to watch together you for sure want to pick this up.

This is a great movie for children and the adults. It will keep you laughing and guessing throughout the movie. It is a must OWN movie for your household. The children will love watching it over and over again.

MY MOTHER IS 77 YEARS OLD AND SHE HAS TO SEE THIS MOVIE ABOUT EVERY 6 MONTHS BECAUSE SHE SAID IT IS SUCH A CUTE, HEART WARMING MOVIE AND IT MAKES HER FEEL GOOD AND I AGREE. I`M 50 AND I ALWAYS WATCH IT WITH HER.

Beware! bad language

After reading the reviews I purchased this movie for my 8 yr old. The movie is a cute one but after awhile it uses some very harsh language....like G*** D*** word....and the son***** word....I dont know what people consider a family movie with all this bad language. If it wasnt for this it would be a excellent movie....

Best Classic Ever

I've watched in since I was very little and I'm so glad it's on DVD for me to share with my kids great family movie! Minus the classic 80's cuss words. But it's so funny!!!
