Customer Reviews
Good unit. Easy to use
2007-08-10
Have only used the monitor for a few weeks but I found it is very accurate and very sensitive. I did have a couple readings that showed I moved but that wasn't the case. I redid the reading and it was fine. I would recommend this monitor especially for easy of use, ease of reading the display and what I'm sure is accuracy. I also appreciate the memory feature and the dual person readout as well as the "guest" mode that doesn't record the reading in the A or B profile.
Arm Cuff

The arm cuff (?) supposedly fits all arms but this is NOT the case. I have had numerous times when it would not work due to the arm being too large.
HEM-780N3
2007-07-26
The HEM-780N3 may be a little more expensive than other BP monitors but its worth it. It comes with all the right stuff - an extra large cuff, carrying case, battery back-up, etc., it stores a lot - 200 readings - 100 per individual, it tracks BP for two people, it records both morning and evening readings, it is very easy to operate - button controls are easy to understand and LCD read-out is large. Most importantly, it is very accurate. My doctor told me it is the best brand to buy because of accuracy.
**Don't be fooled*** by other HEM-780 models. Earlier HEM-780 models use the same number but don't have the same features - make sure it is the HEM-780N3.
Good stuff

I bought this monitor for my parents. At first I've got very overwhelmed with all those buttons, but after I figure it out, it was easy to understand. I had little difficulty teaching my mother, but I guess she is already familiar with the gadget. I felt the monitor very accurate!
Very Accurate

This unit is very easy to set up and operate. The cuff has placement instructions stitched on the side. Follow these instruction any you will have no problem putting the cuff on the arm. It fits larger arms easily. Press the on/off button and it starts working.
My wife is a nurse and we found that her reading matched the machine. She was impressed. I like the memory and the ability to check morning and evening readings. Another nice feature is for the machine to take three consecutive readings and do an average.
The machine is durable. It comes with a case and an AC adapter. It does work with batteries if you chose not to use the adapter. I have been using the batteries for several weeks and have not noticed any change in the sound of the pump. Overall I found this machine to be well built. I would highly recommend this product.
Blood Pressure Monitor

As Advertised, not a knock-off or a similar model, or one which has the first same number without the suffix letters. A pleasure with all including delivery.
Excellent Product

This is a great Blood Pressure monitor. Readings perfectly matched with my doctor's blood pressure monitor. Highly recommend this product.
OMRON Blood Pressure Monitor works well.

I've not had this product long, but it works well right out of the box and sets up easily. Setting the time is not hard either and everything is rather intuitive. It has memory for two users which is excellent for my wife and I - and the display of your average BP is a nifty figure. Overall I would rate this unit excellent - I've had no problems.
Omron HEM-780N3
2007-12-17
Excellent BP monitor. Has a number of features: memory of 100 readings each for two people, "true read" mode (an average of 3 readings taken one minute apart), etc. Most importantly, it appears to be accurate within a couple of mm of mercury when compared to doc's sphygmomanometer.
Excellent home monitoring

I was curious about the difference between my BP readings at my doctor's office (a history of high there) compared to my other monitorings (significantly lower other places). I was also interested in experimenting with relaxation techniques to see how they might affect BP and overall health. After doing my research, it was clear that the Omron line of blood pressure monitors was an outstanding choice. Recommended and certified by medical specialists and generally good user reviews. The Omron 780N3 had the memory functions I wanted, as well as offering automatic cuff inflation and averaging readouts. I got the model with the larger cuff--although there is overlap on the wrap, it is not a problem. Instructions are clear and concise. This is well worth the cost.
