Editorial Review
The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so you don't have to re-set the clock. When Daylight Savings Time changes take place in the spring and fall each year, there is no need to adjust the clock because the built-in calendar recognizes the dates and automatically makes the proper time adjustments. Dual Alarms with Alarm Indicator permits two separate wake-up times with individual wake-up settings and confirms that the alarm has been activated to turn on at the pre-set time. Choose your own snooze time instead of being held captive by the short time intervals of other snooze times. Each press of the snooze button adds an additional 10 minutes to your total snooze time for up to a full hour of uninterrupted sleep. Nice alarm clock, but needlessly large!! 2008-07-01
Got this for my wife ... when we took it out of the box, we were both rather stunned at how large the clock is - nearly 3x larger than her current clock?! Overall she's happy with it, so we're going to keep it ... but really, I can't see why the clock would have to be sooo large (takes up ~20% of the top of her nightstand, and it's not a small nightstand!)

My 10 year old twins sleep through the alarm!!! 2008-05-20
I kept having a problem with my 10 year olds forgetting to set their alarms at night or forgetting to reset the clock after an electrical 'hiccup'. Anyway, I bought them each one of these clocks so they'd never have to fuss with the time again. Let me say that part works GREAT! However, they both like to fall asleep listening to music which they have on a very low volume. The 'sleep' feature allows them to set the timer to 90/60/30/0 minutes till shut-off. Since they fall asleep to a low volume music, they are not able to set the wake-up alarm to 'radio'. They'd never hear it. So we set it to 'buzzer'. The sound is not a buzzer. It's a very pleasant beeping which is not that loud at all. If you wake easily this should not be a problem. My two DON'T wake easily. I still find myself having to wake them up. My next move... a foghorn blown from the sofa where I sit drinking my morning joe and watching the news. :)

Evaluation of Sony ICF-C218 Clock Radio 2008-03-26
The clock radio arrived promptly. It was very competitively priced. It has performed perfectly! I would recomend it to anyone based on my experience!

Great little clock/radio, good value 2008-02-08
These are great, they have a small "footprint", nice big easy to read numbers and I like the alarm reset button which allows you to turn it off for today but still keep it set for tomorrow.

Clock Radios with Digital time 2008-01-12
Sony ICF-C218 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio (White) We purchased this clock radio because of it's large time display. Works great. Exceptionally easy to set up. It arrived already programmed for the time. It required only a minor modification to conform to our time zone.

Great alarm, easy to use. 2007-11-01
What I like about this alarm clock: doesn't take up much room on my nightstand, the time is preset at the factory so all I had to do was set my time zone, the alarm doesn't jolt you awake - it starts out slow and quieter gradually getting faster and louder, you can choose how long you want your snooze to be, and it is so easy to figure out - I first saw this item at Target and was able to figure it out right there while displayed, quite a few of the others baffled me.

Other info: only one alarm time can be set
