Zen W 60GB barely fits in case

I have a Zen W 60GB. It doesn't realy fit in this case very well. I use a Mystic Audio case instead.
Useful piece of kit

I bought this case for my Zen Vision W 60 Gb player only to find out that its a few mm thicker than the 30 Gb player that the case was designed for. Still the case is well made and protects the player well allowing charging and the headphones to be connected while the front cover is in place. The case is quite flexible when used as a viewing stand though some velcro strips wouldn't go amis.
I didn't buy this....

and I'm glad I didn't rush to. I looked a little bit more on Amazon and found a company that sold a nice leather one with an attached kickstand! Just got it and it's AWESOME..the screen portion is covered by clear plastic and the front of the case is very well padded to avoid damage to the screen. Also, the unit slides into the case from the top so there's no chance it will fall out like this one. Take your time and look for it..it's leather and I think there were only 2 when I found them, so that means, there's one left. who ever designed this case never used it !!!

The design of this case is the worst I have ever seen for a device like the Zen W. There is no belt clip of any kind and saying that the cover acts like a viewing stand is being generous at best. The most serious issue with this case is that there is nothing holding the Zen W IN the case. Unless you are VERY carefull, IT WILL FALL OUT. A simple solution is stick-on velcro on the back of the Zen W. Not ideal, but you won't be picking up your Zen W in pieces off the floor. The only controls accessible when the case is closed are the headphone jack, the power adapter jack and the A/V Out jack. So, if you are playing music (say while you are driving), you want to skip to the next song occasionally, and you DON'T have velcro holding it in the case, your choices are to open and close it each time (which can not be done one-handed) or have it sliding out of the case and around the front seat. The only positive comment I have is that it is well padded. The final problem is that this is the only case available for the Zen W 60Gb. I just hope that Creative sells enough of these so that someone comes out with a properly designed case because whoever designed this one is an idiot and should be fired.

It's not all that bad but not great, there aren't a lot of alternatives at this point though. The quality of the materials are good. It has some sort of metal plate in the front part. I think it's for protection and weight for when you use it as a kick stand. The way you use it as a kick stand is on the funky side, the front kind of gets folded back under the case. It works though, you can adjust the viewing angle. The case material is a textured Vinyl. The case seems like it will be protective. You keep the cover closed by wrapping a black elastic band, which is attached to the cover, around the whole thing. How well that will hold up remains to be seen, like I say it seems like good quality. The worst part of the case I suppose is how there is nothing really holding the unit in place. It just sort of sits in there at the bottom "U" channel. I opened it once and the ZEN came sliding out, but I caught it in time. Scared the crap out of me! There is an easy fix though, I just put a small patch of Velcro on the back, the hook part only. That makes it so it attaches itself to the inner material of the case. That seems to work well I've uploaded a few shots I took.
Poorly Designed Product

Flip open the lid and the textured fabric case doubles as a viewing stand / Works with ZEN Vision W 30GB only
Only for a 30GB Vision

This case was designed for the first generation 30GB Zen Vision W, NOT the 1st Gen 60GB Zen Vision W...
This was not called out on the web-site. As I opened the plastic clamshell packaging, Amazon/ANTonline would not authorize the return of this product.
good but ...

This case is good to safe keep your Zen-W media player, if you drop it from one meter high it still protect your Zen and set nicely as viewing stand , but makes it looks puffy and you have to take it out of the case if you want to use the USB, which you use frequently, also the case does not hold the prayer firmly, you could easily drop it out of the case.
Unfortunately there are not many cases available, therefore you have to life with this because there is no case provided with the player, just a bag!
